85% of forest fires are man made. Makes you kind of wonder doesn't it? Where is proper equipment to fight these fires? Where are the water bombers and the large Air tankers? Where is the money to purchase this equipment? Oh I know, the billions of taxpayer monies that has been sent off to Ukraine who apparently is more important than Canada as the Liberals keep proving over and over. (My prayers and love go out to Jasper and Albertans.)
Greece came to Canada and bought water bombers from Canada. 300 million million dollars worth they took our used ones and are waiting for their new ones

We need to rember that fire is mother nature's deep cleaning process. Natural fires are all part of the circle of life and play an essential role in the rejuvenation of the forest.
@janetmohn5376 yeah it rejuvenates forests and also devastates lives the houses in the town won't grow back. Canadians got exactly what they voted for. The worst thing that ever happened to me was coming back to Canada this country is so satanic and communist it's getting what it deserves. Even without using controlled burns for forest management they could use goats to eat the undergrowth in 30 ft swaths to create buffers but the government refused to even consider it when I suggested it. It's had a great success in many areas to reduce wildfires.

There should be a 1/4 - 1/2 mile circle of no trees around towns and important highways and infrastructure and strategic paths of clearcut trees to prevent spread!
