This was just a first pass at a balanced set I did live with viewers on Twitch. There will be a much shorter Phase 4 gearing video in the future that has finalized sets for both Horde and Alliance.

Good stuff man as always. One thing I noticed coming into play was the armor cap (which is crazy to me that it even is). You looked like you were at 44k give or take. Cap looks like it may be at 46k-ish? Things like corpse tongue (and stone form for dwarves like myself) are going to put you way over cap when they proc. Just a heads up. Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Yah armor cap is achievable with the right set/procs and as you corrected below it is about 50k (49.9k) for +3 level mobs (bosses). You may already know, but I'll put it here for those who don't: part of the armor damage reduction formula includes level, so it will change depending on the level of what you're fighting. The character sheet just shows damage reduction for a mob the same level as you
Love the videos for pally tanking man, I definitely spec and gear (based on what I can get) on what you do or said and it has helped my guild tremendously. However, any chance you would be up to talk to others that are 80 pally or leveling a pally in our guild to explain how to tank to the best they can? I have tried to pass along what I learned from you but it seems to fall on deaf ears. I also could use some more insight as I think, based on logs, I am not doing what I need even though I am probably the best tank for our guild atm. I think most of those in my guild just don't have the situational awareness and I know that can't be taught but hope you have some gems to make us better.
Resist bracer enchants for icc and 192 stam enchant for cata. The new tank enchant for bracer in cata is 50 dodge, so the only stam enchant is the current 40 stam one for a 152 stam increase. Other professions only give a 120 total stam increase
Between Engi or LW, which would be more useful? Currently I have mining/JC and have been fairly reluctant to switch because one directly feeds into the other and I don't roll alts (leveling bores me to tears). Given that, whatever prof gets selected is likely going to stay that way permanently
Hey I was curious about your statement that 24* expertise will be enought. (+glyph = 34) Your saying that it will be enough with Seal of Command for trash but what is with bosses? Isn't it worth to get the hardcap of 56 with the glyph? Just want to understand your reasoning about it. Thanks in advance!
Hey, basically our order for damage/threat is exp soft cap > hit cap > str > exp hard cap. So exp up to hard cap is only something you go for if you aren't sacrificing a lot of str to get there. However, there are some dps pieces you can swap in for more expertise without losing much str, such as the Sindragosa 10H belt. If some bosses end up parry hasting, the value of exp will go up a bit but people also generally overblow how dangerous parry haste is
Having to buy the 251 set tbh isnt much diff or a set back most ppl are just waiting till they get a trophy to buy 245 anyway witch cost badges so it would be the same as buying the 232 pc and just trading that with a trophy would be cheaper if they did it that way in p3 lol great vid like always! (Also so for prot warr/Pal will Block rating be best avoidance stat with the dodge debuf)
I dont think they're gonna change them. Back in the day you could do one 10 and one 25 man lockout a week. TOGC was the only time you could do 4 lockouts and they learned from their mistake
@@Sixa2901 yah gonna be a bit. You can get 1 piece a week pretty much. Makes VOA really important too because any drops in there let you save a weeks worth of emblems
0% chance they make you slowly build up to 25 heroic tier. Guilds are going to be clearing most of ICC day one and they won't make these guilds down shift the difficulty to get normal tokens before they can use heroic tokens, no....fucking....way. I'd suspect they will only make 251 cost emblems then 25 and 25H will only need the token
You get the normal tokens from heroic 25 man end wing bosses in addition to the heroic token, and you also get them from heroic 10 man end wing bosses. You're not losing out on any tier killing bosses on heroic, so I dont think they'll change it

Last word from prof putri is going to be big for the proc both the strength and healing taken buff. 1.8 speed and almost 100% buff uptime.

Engi is the most important by far. Rocket boots allow a lot of plays that can't otherwise be done and there are a tony of other benefits

Block rating would be nice but it isn't on any of the new gear, so it isn't a factor
