Formed in 1969, the regiment emerged from the merger of the Royal Horse Guards ("the Blues") and the Royal Dragoons ("the Royals"), units with roots in the mid-17th century. Serving globally, it had roles in Northern Ireland, the Cold War in West Germany, the Falklands War, UN missions in Bosnia, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was part of key defense strategies and reconnaissance missions. Notably, Prince William and Prince Harry joined as cornets in 2006.

I have never seen so many bad manners people ,the police tell them to stand back ,they push in make stupid noises ,maybe want poking with a big stick, leave our guards and their magnificent horses alone ,and give them some peace, not running and shouting like headless chickens ,sorry chickens ,show them respect , god bless you all keep safe ,❤❤

Excellent interactions with both children and adults from Weygood and his trooper (who also match each other very well)😊😊😊 Always love seeing the two of them interacting with people, because both of them have such charisma and instantly draw people to them. Plus a lot of patience and kindness, both horse and trooper, to deal with all the tourists. I was wondering if the white blaze oh his forehead was still there after all the petting and stroking😄😄 The moment one of the girls holds her younger sister in her arms, so that she could reach the horse's muzzle was amazing! One of those scenes you'd think you only see in a movie🥰🥰. Moments like these make the troopers' work and efforts all worth while, i guess. 60fps works very well!

I love it when the tourists are making stupid noises to try & get the horse's attention & the horse just looks away. I'm sure it is thinking 'do you realuse how stupid you sound & look. Just stop embarrassing yourself'
These are true, military personnel along with their horses as well they are not there to entertain people or be treated some petting zoo or Disneyland characters it is so disrespectful and painful to watch at times

I'd hate to say it again and again Asians are so rude,an d pushy and no respect for OTHERS.For a culture that has so much respect for their elderly and their country and their culture and customs,it's sad to see this.I have a very good friend who is Vietnamese and she has taken me to many places to show me how rude they are in my country Canada she is ashamed.I tell her,you and her family are great.
