    So what do you think? Are there any apps that you'd like to see tested on the A56X2 Manta?
    And if you are a user, which apps do you have installed and like using on the Supernote platform?
    Here's the *Supernote A5X2 Manta* : supernote.com/products/supernote-a5-x2-manta?sca_ref=4915589.rferNaRlAM
    And the *A6X2 Nomad* : supernote.com/pages/supernote-lamy-special-set?sca_ref=4915589.rferNaRlAM

      Would love to know whether Trello will work. Or any similar app you might know of that allows for content to be moved around dynamically (by pressing and holding and moving). Makes a great way to manage to-dos and projects.

      I'd like to know if "Gospel Library" app works. If it does, I will buy the Supernote immediately.

    Noticed you have OneNote installed. How well does this work on the Manta? I currently use MS To Do and OneNote on my laptop and phone. Wondering whether adding the Manta to my ecosystem would work for me, while also using it for sketching (I work in design) and reading. Or does using MS To Do and OneNote take away from the benefits of owning a SN with its own note tools?

      poorly. nothing e-ink works well with OneNote unless it's a Boox, because Boox went out of their way to add ink/handwriting optimization for OneNote themselves.

      @@0xKruzr Correct. It's ok just to have if you need to reference, but using anything third party with pen input is going to be painful. Anything with dynamic content to be honest isn't going to work unless they add an x mode.

      @@KitBetts-Masters Thank you. Coming at this from the other side then - is the supernote partner app a viable replacement for OneNote/ToDo on a laptop (not yet on phone I think?), so that the SN eco system becomes my tool for organising across devices?

      I have OneNote sideloaded on my Nomad, and Kit is right. It doesn't work well at all with handwriting, and typing with a BT keyboard is also pretty limited. I have kept the app loaded because it is nice to have the information in OneNote available if I only have my nomad with me. However, yesterday, I found a helpful function. I was in the Kindle app on the Nomad and went to export my annotations, and exporting to OneNote came up as an option. The export worked seamlessly. It arrived in OneNote as an HTML file and showed up on all my devices.

      @@jmtulloss Great tip! I just tried this. It seems that you'll be able to export from one sideloaded app to another, but not from the bespoke supernote apps to a sideloaded app. That's a shame. Hopefully supernote can be persuaded to add the standard android export options into their own software so users can export to their own apps of choice. I agree that would be a very useful thing and a case for having your microsoft apps installed and ready to go. Cheers to you!

    You mentioned the possibility to sideload the Kobo app. Can you write/annotate in the Kobo app? Does it support epub files? (E-books downloaded from cloudlibrary) And can you write on those?

    Thanks Kit, I only really want einkbro but with a Mac I'll have to look into it a bit more before my ordered A5X2 is delivered. However, what risks will I open my Supernote up to by installing say... F-Droid and einkbro, anyone know?

    • @KitBetts-Masters
      @KitBetts-Masters  15 дней назад +1

      Not sure about the risks with F-Droid I'm afraid, it seems pretty well trusted out there. Brandon Boswell demonstrates sideloading on Supernote from a Mac "computer" so that should help. 😉

    Hey Kit, I want an e-ink tablet for my studies. I do a lot of math and it would be great if it could covert equations into latex for storing as pdf. Does any of the tablet support that kind of OCR or perhaps an app ? And great video as always

    This prompted me to install einkBro (via F-Droid) on my Boox Go 10.3 and it's great; it gives me what I was missing with Firefox etc., namely the ability to tap on the screen to page up / down, rather than (but in addition to) dragging the page with my finger. One small but important point for the Boox is that I had to change the Freeze settings to 'off ', as it kept crashing initially. I had to do the same for Firefox to stop it disappearing from the app switcher.
