You should have more than enough gems from doing story and present and old events activities. Though I do think you should have rerolled for her( if the game still gave free multi for new players) and honestly if wasting 5 bucks isn't going to kill you I'd say reroll on a different account depending on how far you have progressed, otherwise keep at it as your guaranteed for her now.
