SGA and Ant are the two best guards in the league right now and both are only getting better. Steph is still terrific but he’s past his prime and is a defensive liability. Luka is an MVP candidate every year but doesn’t play defence. His play style, despite his numbers, is not as conducive to winning basketball long term as the kind of ball SGA and Any play. Luka plays too much iso ball and holds on to the ball too long. ‘Sticky fingers’ they call it. Same reason Carmelo and Iverson couldn’t play longer in the league when they got older, because they didn’t move the ball without hesitation. Everything goes through Luka, whereas SGA and Ant will cut off the ball, play off the ball, make the extra pass without thought, and play defence. To me this all makes them better than Luka. Oh and I rarely see SGA complaining to the refs. Luka hurts the culture and buy in of his team/teammates because he complains so much. This is understood by guys who get team chemistry and it’s tangible effects on how everyone else plays.

But 32 on 8-14 the game before. 25 the night before that. 38 and 30 the games before that. I think it’s just that he missed a couple games and people forgot how he had possibly his best start to a season ever individually, combined with this being the most what have you done for me lately times 10 era we’ve ever lived in! But yeah Steph is having an awesome season. 29.4 on 48/44.
@@timmytheinventor4746that being said, it’s insane how consistent SGA and basiclalf all of the top 30 players in the league are now. We are seeing a new level of consistency. If we look at the scoring leaders it feels like we really have to scour to try and find anyone who is scoring volume but on poor efficiency. It’s like almost alll of the top dozens of scorers are combining volume AND efficiency at levels we never saw before. And it’s happened over time. Guys just getting more and more efficient for the most part.
