THANK YOU ! Again your dive into detail is fascinating. It confirmed my choice of sleeping position and I'm pleased that my occasional treat of stomach position works absolutely fine for my neck . I'm impressed how much you're dedicated , thank you ! Big cheers!
You sir, deserve much much more subscribers and support. Best physio advice I have seen/heard on the web and in-person. As someone suffering chronic hip and back pain for 3 + yrs. Your advice has given me the understanding I need to ask the right questions and get myself back to having a “normal” life. 🙏🏻
I appreciate the kind words mate. I find the answers are more often than not a return to the basics - it’s just hard sometimes for everyone to have the right perspective to intuitively know what those are!
I always roll onto my side while I sleep but pain accrues in my hips until it wakes me in the early hours. The best way to dissipate it seems to be to lie on my back and rotate my hips outwards. When I fall asleep I roll back onto my side and the cycle starts again 😔 Maybe I need some physio to address hip issues due to daily use or misuse🤔 Thank you for the fresh insights.
Which sleeping position do you recommend for someone with tight hips/hip flexors/quads? I was so encouraged to know I’m already on the right track by first working on my posture and doing stretches that are helpful to relieve my pain during the day, but just frustrated that I start back at square one after waking up
Lying on my stomach raising the knee too high to the side and up strains and mildly irritates my QL. A moderately high knee like 30-45 degrees of thigh to leg bend is no problem for me. 90 degrees is asking for trouble.
Does this re-shape how you think about your sleeping positions? P.S hope the sound in the middle is ok!

Hope it helps you better understand where to look for those clues during the day!
Put a pillow between knees

For me basically the recovery position. Top knee on a cushion.
Don't knownif that's good or bad?
Depends how comfortable it feels for you Joan!
Thank you.

Why put your arm under the head? I get tingling or dead arm that way. The height of the pillow FTW.
Either way should be fine in a perfect world!
