@@craigkathiehartsell2201 thanks for the response. In some dialects the a in want says /ǒ/ like in father. In my region, we say want with a shot u /ǔ/. The a in want says /ǔ/ so we chose to teach it as a permanently irregular part. It is so cool the way language is constantly changing and different regionally.
I was taught and teach that the a says short o like in father. So it’s woz.? Thoughts
