9/6/2018 Operations to shift Westchester-bound traffic on the New Tappan Zee Bridge to the crossing’s new eastbound span will begin tomorrow, Friday, September 7, 2018 at 8PM. 2. On day before we fly from Rockland to Westchester county and will see how the TZC Constructors prepared for this landmark opening

I used to cross the Tappan Zee bridge from the Bronx, boy that was a night mare, I see the new expressway this is pure American ingenuity, the Philippines cannot even build a small bridge. USA.

I must have been over the old bridge a million times in 43 years.. I retired & moved to FL when they were just putting the pylons in for the new bridge.. I can't wait to go over it when I go up home for a vacation definitely going around the Bronx.

Um. It's called the Mario Cuomo Bridge now. So, no. Oh! And it's an altogether new bridge, if you haven't noticed.

Dear Jerry, I worked on this bridge. I agree with you that not everything done perfect, but not bad. don't panic. In addition TZC didn't cross $3.9B.budget. Thanks for comment
@@odessa1799 I worked there to. Was a good job but didn't like TZC's bullshit. They were ratty! Totally mis managed money and waste. The demo is a fucking disaster poorly planned. They have LOTS of clam bucketing to do!!!
I'm not panicking. I'm laughing! We will see how long this bridge last. Its now the states responsibility to maintain it. Hope it's in the budget but you all got deep pockets down there in Westchester and Rockland County!
Cuomo is a covert narcissist. That bridge was named after the Indian tribe and Dutch settlements. It will always be Tapan Zee.
