Unfortunately, his hair is too long for me in Mission: Impossible 2 and 4. As at the "Top Gun: Maverick" premiere, with William and Kate on the red carpet. He should always wear his hair like in "MI: Fallout" or in the new "Mission: Impossible" movie. What do you think? 🙂
@@Arch8112 no hate, he's impressive, but it helps that he has no family to spend time with, and don't need to have a regular job and other duties. He's very nice in person, though it would be hard to bond much of a friendship, he's just going 1000 miles an hour and hangs around with people that he works on a project with, only to move on. Nothing wrong with that. At least he was very attentive the few minutes I talked to him .
Agree, say what you want about him, but this many LOVES his job and he leaves 150% of himself on screen every single time. It is inspiring really. And the payoff is sitting on the edge of your seat knowing that's actually him doing this. For real. Whatever ridiculously insane thing they've dreamed up. Not only is the action incredible, but they manage to make it look so stunningly beautiful at the same time.
@@mratlas3364 Because the risk of death or injury isn’t worth it? I admire Toms dedication to his craft but not everyone cares enough about their job to do death defying stunts and that’s OK. As long there are individuals like Tom to set the bar then we have the inspiration but that doesn’t mean we have to be as dedicated as him, to do all of this with no permanent damage is nothing short of a miracle and there would definitely be a lot of deaths or injury if everyone wanted to be Tom Cruise.
He's the official GOAT action movie that puts every other to shame, except Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, who still come in behind him, in my opinion, but still did most of their crazy stunts, with the injuries. I hope Baldwin is never around him in any indie movies with him in charge. Dude is a bonafide, real life action hero, seriously, and a much better actor than any in the same genre. The dude is an enigma by nature as far he stays committed to do whatever it takes for his audience, yet still seems very humble and appreciative of those he works with and his fans. Being close to his age and push myself hard to stay healthy, he even amazes me that he still does these incredible things, incredible confidence, but still stay in safety mode, despite what he said. That's a thing most career heavy duty construction worker will say comes first and foremost and I hope he was kidding on that comment.
The fact that any human being can do the actual stunt 6 times a day at any age is beyond incredible and physical ability. The level of motivation is Godlike
A real life action hero. The balls on the guy to do those stunts is insane. I love how his first response on the ground was to thank the crew. A true class act
In the age of digital art ,bluescreens and Ai editing, it's amazing how Tom simply sticks to doing these crazy things to entertain us. He is truly a master craftsman. The end product never dissapoint ,i mean Top Gun Maverick. Wow, what a masterpiece. I'm looking forward to this new one. it's going to be Epic.
I agree but also think he “sticks to doing these crazy things” because he’s a little cuckoo in the head 🤪 and it’s like a big kid playground for him. Man definitely deserves props for the energy and time he puts into his films. After watching this, he’s a class act by my book and I will watch his films with renewed admiration knowing all the work that goes into these stunts.
Same. In some ways it’s more exciting than the film because of the unknown risk. Once it’s in theatres, you know he is safe and often you don’t know how much is cgi or real stunt. I was spellbound watching this
Dude if you catch the way of water in imax only it gives this as a preview. I saw this in imax only difference is it was shorter as in 4 mins less. But seeing this in the big screen especially imax was awesome.
Watching this made me so emotional. When they say nobody cares anymore about cinema, here is a man who cares so much that he does a life threatening stunt 6 times. As a filmmaker, Top Cruise inspires me so much. He is literally showing us how it looks when you give you care. A lot of actors won't do even 2nd take for a scene, giving reason that they have poured all in the first take and don't have anything left for 2nd take. When they ask what's the difference between good and great-- here is the example. A man willing to risking his life 6 times for a shot. So that his audiance have the best time. Long live Tom Cruise n team.
The thing about actors doing stunts is, actors are a huge financial asset during filming. If they get injured the filming has to halt until he can act again. If the actor dies during such a stunt, you could imagine that the entire money that has been put in the movie before was down the sink. Allthough they' would probably try to finish the movie via deepfake or something lol
Experiencing this sequence in an IMAX theater was beyond insanity, this scene is simply amazing, Tom Cruise never disappoints, so hyped for Dead Reckoning part two!
The amount of hard work and training he does is just simply amazing. Over 500 jumps to prepare a sequence that's gonna be 30 seconds is brutal. Tom really knows his art.

This is unbelievable honestly. It is how casually he jumps outta the helicopter as if he was jumping outta bed 😳 I can’t imagine being his wife or crew member, having to constantly worry. Thank you Tom. This message will self destruct in 5..4..3..
I have been watching the mission impossible series since my birth and I am fascinated by the stunts Tom Cruise performed all by himself when he is 60 years old. I love the entire series
Tbh there were times it didn’t look real (you know it is real) but it looks like CGI at some points - like when he jumped out the chopper (again - you know it’s real) but it’s probably because I’m so not used to seeing an actor do this - that I associate it with CGI (being fake)
It's amazing how EASY it would be to just do this with CGI... and how grateful I am that they don't. The intensity of these movies is palpable, and I love seeing all the hard work and dedication that makes it that way.
What I love most about Tom Cruise is his love for filmmaking and the love for his fans. They released another video for the upcoming “M:I - Dead Reckoning” and all he kept doing was thanking the fans for continuing to support him by going to the theaters. He was just so humble. I can’t see why anyone sensible could hate this man…
He is fantastic, but I don't think anyone will ever understand how such an obviously intelligent guy bought into the whole scientology thing. Also, bizarrely, many people attack him because he's not tall enough for their liking, which is frankly shallow and pathetic.
@@AlmarWinfield Yeah, that's his big no-no for me. Tom is an amazing artist, perhaps even an amazing person in general (we don't know him in private) but his whole connection to Scientology makes him unlikeable for me. I respect him as an artist but that's it.
I live in Hellesylt / Norway where the movie was made. They gave the "used" motocycles to me. I buffed them right back to pristine condition. BTW: As a child we came back over the mountain every day from school. It was tiresome to climb down so we did this "stunt" with normal bicycles every day and we had to use bed sheets as parachutes. No biggy - just business as usual.
@@swedishpsychopath8795 I was actually a teacher at the school and those kids did this about once or twice a week (it WAS NOT every day). I couldn’t believe someone could actually do that and safely float down float to the bottom. There were usually 3 of them. I did speak to one of the parents and learned that one of the fathers was a base jumper who showed them how to do it (safely). The bikes always were bent but never so bad that they couldn’t fix them. It was so cool to find out Cruise was filming something similar but MUCH MUCH GRANDER in essentially the same spot. #Norway #Hellesylt
While still celebrating that this legend didn’t die at 7:49 he calmly says, “I think I can hold to the bike a little longer”. Thought he was kidding but nope…he makes us endure 5 more nail biting repeats of the stunt. Incredible commitment and guts! 🤯
Yah he just jumped off a damn mountain and his only worry was that he wanted to hold onto the bike a bit longer. And do 6 takes in total just because he wanted It to look good
Hollywood has done so much to damage the culture and morality of this country that I'm not interested. Even the "good" movies feed the bad ones. Got to bleed the beast.
I still don’t think that this is as dangerous or as difficult as the helicopter dive in the last one, where Tom flew the helicopter over the waterfall into a rotational dive, I mean he had to learn to fly a helicopter first and then how to fly a helicopter acrobatically, then they added the external c multi camera rig too.
@@Patriotic_Eagle1995 Could've been way less money on CGI I agree, but doing it the hard way, it's makes the movie a unique artwork. Kind of like the effort put into stop-motion animation to make something unique, another form of art. But anyway I'd also take CGI.
The problem with making this all about TC you have to immediately address concerns about the fact that he is benefitting from leading a massive cult. Make it about the film and the team, not about one employee with questionable concerns about his fellow Hoomans.

I agree that it would be better if it would be shown after the movie, unless they are a fan of being spoiled of the scenes that are about to happen that you are about to watch, then yes. Otherwise, it would be better during the credit scenes like the Jackie Chan ones

This is insane. Somehow I still feel the plane takeoff scene was more intense, how is it that this could be slightly less intense then something you’ve already done??? This guy is a legend
I think the scene where he’s flying the helicopter through the valley is easily more dangerous than this. He refused to not actually pilot the helo alone, and he only trained for 3 months, and the valley was apparently super tight. I’m talking about fallout btw!
ye i remember an interview where he said rocks flew right past his head and would have piereced him if he were to be hit. that sounds so insane this looked more safer in that regard but i guess its all dangerous.
He was secured in the airplane scene, but in this one he’s all on his own. If the bike had lost grip, he could potentially slam his head and be done for - dead, nothing to catch him.
Well given that he did over 500 jumps for this movie alone means that he probably jumped out of thousands of helicopter/planes throughout his career. Jumping off helicopters for this guy is the equivalent of us driving to work every morning.
The more you watch it the better it looks... incredible that he didn't just do it once, he perfected it at its hardest difficulty to get the most amount of takes for the editor/directors to use. MUST SEE in theatres!

We just appreciate the scene in a movie and forget about it later but now that I've seen this, I'm starting to respect all of those bts as well as the actors or stuntmen/women more & more. It's like Tom Cruise is one of the few people in Hollywood who understands this and is like, "Hey, if you're choosing to spend your hard-earned money and your precious free time on my product, then I owe it to you to give you the absolute best product I possibly can!" Wish more people felt that way.
1- We are living in abundance unprecedented in human history, thanks to technology. A loaf of bread costs you much cheaper than it used to cost your grandparents. 2- If you can come on RUclips and write comments on a movie’s stunt work video, you’re not as busy as you think.
@@jeffmorrison2915 What are u talking about? True story. This was filmed in Bedfordshire, England. Tom’s helicopter had to land on a pitch belonging to a local grassroots football club, meaning they couldn’t train. Tom Cruise is a narcissist. He has a constant need to show off in his action films. You don't need to be a psychologist to know that. It all about validation because deep down he's insecure. Look at me, I'm doing a sky dive, I'm hanging from a plane. All designed to get validation. You'll notice he's no longer a dramatic actor doing roles like Jerry Maguire. It's all this wannabe James Bond stuff. It is what it is. He seems a nice enough guy.

I think MI series surpassed Bond somewhere around Ghost Protocol and since then it's been far better. Comparing for example Specter and Rogue Nation, both from same year, makes it pretty clear what's a superior series nowadays.

The level of professionalism, commitment, and care must be second to none. There is no room for error, and these people are at the top of their class. Can't wait to see what's in store with the next MI movies.
The confidence he has while doing that trial jump before the actual one. Like he did not even hesitate to get the idea of height or the fear of doing it for real. It shows how much effort and practice has been put to a single stunt.
Love for filmmaking . Love for the craft. Love for the stunts. Love for the cast and crew. Love for the entertainment values. Love for the audience. That's it. That's what Tom has and it shows. He thanks us for letting him do all these. But in reality we should thank him for his love and dedication, because when he promises, he delivers.
The fact that Tom Cruise is over 60 years old and old enough to be a grandfather and doing these kind of crazy stunts with such commitment to his craft is truly amazing.

Holy shit! This man's out here risking his life just so he can entertain an audience? God damn that's some serious commitment to his work! I just hope they can do this safely tho. Dont like the idea of him dying on set for a movie. That being said, he's possibly the only actor that's actually like his movie character doing seemingly impossible things. Absolute legend!
He knows what he does and it's a passion.
He has been doing shit like this for years now
@@JornL he knows it no need to mention
@@arpitshivhare217 he sure is surprised about it
I think he’s accepted that he will die doing an awesome stunt
I have nothing but respect for this man. He risks his life to entertain the audience and it is truly incredible! He is a legend that will always be remembered in Hollywood.
Not just in hollywood.
He will be remembered till humans exist here..

"There's no speedometer, I just do it by sound and feel of the bike". What a legend! He has to hit the same speed every time for them to calculate where he will land each time so WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS NO SPEEDOMETER?!?! Tom Cruise ladies & gentleman
Definitely there would be a speedometer a watch these days can track speed, like why the hell would you not have a speedometer?
It’s not really that crazy…. You ride a bike enough and you get the feel and sound of it pretty quick.
He is the best
@@krizztykrab2297 dirt bikes don't have speedometer bro
@@krizztykrab2297 even my bike's speedometer is broke. And i don't care. Any experienced motorcyclists can feel the speed without speedometer
Just watched the movie over the weekend. Other than the stunts on top of the train, all the other stunts seems super realistic and exciting. Such an amazing movie. Tom Cruise is a legendary actor.
OMFG! This man knows no fear. He tracked the red line on the ramp perfectly straight, not to mention all the different seriously technical aspects of this amazing stunt. Wow! Dedication to his art form to the max.
He jumped six times down that ramp, too.. SIX times.
Addie…fully agree…if he knew one ounce of fear he would pasted all over the rocks
One thing for sure, if you do any research he never stops moving, never…don’t think she sleeps more than a few hours a night…always has 10 film projects going, and when not on the projects he is flying his P-51 Mustang, skydiving for pleasure
Tom is a mad lad
True story. This was filmed in Bedfordshire, England. Tom’s helicopter had to land on a pitch belonging to a local grassroots football club, meaning they couldn’t train. So he signed some shirts for them to auction, raising thousands of £’s that were much needed after Covid restrictions hit their funding. Top man

Tom Cruise is an absolute ANIMAL! And you HAVE to love his dedication to the art of Film making!!!! NO BODY does it like Tom Cruise!
For being the "insane and crazy" Hollywood guy, HOW is he the ONLY ONE capable of making entertaining and actually watchable and enjoyable movies today!?!?!? The dude can do ANYTHING and is a Certified EVERYTHING! Seriously! What cant he do!?!?!
"Don't be careful. Be Competent" Man i love him so much! MAD respect! I dont think he has ever hesitated in his entire life!
Actually, does he say be "competent" or "confident" ?
@@JoCoAnim It does kinda sound like he said both " Be competent , Confident"
@@mrbeans2425 bro, expand your horizons a bit, there's lots of other very good directors and actors out there.
@@kbanghart lol a LOT of assumptions made right there. Good on you! But your right he's the only director and actor I've ever heard of.
Lot of training so in the end he can do it on Cruise control 🏞
Absolutely incredible. And one has to wonder during the years of planning for this how he pulled off Top Gun Maverick as well? Truly impressive and gives all of us past 60 motivation to push even harder. Thanks Tom Cruise for all you have done to make your movies worth watching and being so true to your craft.
This top gun maverick wast the best movie that I ever watched
Tom may have some weird personal life choices, but nobody can take away his level of commitment, to his craft. He just keeps outgoing himself. He is hands down, the greatest action movie star of all time.
What weird choices? If you are referring to his dedication as a Scientologist, how do you know that hasn’t been a factor in his attitude towards life?
who cares about the scientology stuff? tom never even mentions it in any interviews and these videos and his films are exceptional. why does every comment complimenting tom always diss/mention the scientology thing
@Dark Knight to me evangelicals are much more dangerous than any scientologist in the usa. I'd take "weird life choices" over someone telling me to live my life through their theology.
@@nicehomelander Jake didn't even mention scientology?! Pretty sure he meant things like jumping up on Oprahs chair that is weird. Nobody even corrected outgoing/outdoing you all just want to attack Jake for something he did not even mention! Why does everyone want to attack everyone else and dogpile innocent victims and then play the victim themselves?
The dedication and commitment Tom Cruise has to his projects are otherworldly, greatly on another level. The fact that he is still so enthusiastically doing this at his age tells you all you need to know

Love Tom Cruise’s Dedication. He along with James Cameron keeping cinema alive with innovation. Blessed to be alive in this era ♥️♥️♥️
Yes totally!
James bond?
@@arpitshivhare217 James Cameron is the director from Avatar and Titanic.
James Cameron hasn't made a movie in over a decade and the one he did just make was a simple reboot. Theres no innovation in that.
@@Manuel2395-g6m I know that bro I'm just saying isn't James bond a good franchise too?
Take a minute and consider the incredible number of breathtaking stunts this man has completed, and the vast amount of skill that is required to perform each safely. Adding to that, arguably one of the best actors AND directors ever to walk the earth. Absolute legend

Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt makes James Bond look like a pussy!
I think MI series surpassed Bond somewhere around Ghost Protocol and since then it's been far better. Comparing for example Specter and Rogue Nation, both from same year, makes it pretty clear what's a superior series nowadays.
Honestly i think at this point MI movies are what 007 dreams to become.
My heart starts pumping and hands turn clammy just watching this ... and this man is a senior citizen, what?!?

Tom Cruise is amazing. We also have to acknowledge the crew of professionals he surrounds himself with to execute these stunts. The level of professionalism, commitment, and care must be second to none. There is no room for error, and these people are at the top of their class. Can't wait to see what's in store with the next MI movies.
No he is not amazing, he is a hacky actor at best and his movies are all forgettable.
@@bartondean4260 We'll have to agree to disagree. Anyone who commits to their work as much as Cruise does is amazing in my book.
@@PuertoGeekan But he's sometimes mean to some of the lazy crew? Or that's what the National Inquisitor rumor rag once said?
@@raylopez99 Yes he can be a perfectionist to a fault, it seems.
The confidence he has while doing that trial jump before the actual one. Like he did not even hesitate to get the idea of height or the fear of doing it for real. It shows how much effort and practice has been put to a single stunt.
I just got goosebumps and sneezed, that's how much tension I felt from this video.
Love for filmmaking .
Love for the craft.
Love for the stunts.
Love for the cast and crew.
Love for the entertainment values.
Love for the audience.

The fact that Tom Cruise is over 60 years old and old enough to be a grandfather and doing these kind of crazy stunts with such commitment to his craft is truly amazing.
He's already 10 years into being old enough to be a grandfather.
He will be grandfather in 9 months if his daughter Isabelle gets pregnant and give birth to a baby in next 9 months. Isabelle is already 30 yrs old at this stage many women's are already mother take shophie turner she become mother at 24 and Emma roberts become mother 2 yrs ago at age of 30. So people in industry become mother at around 30 she can also be so would tin cruise be grandfather.
Take a minute to appreciate the guys who put that scaffolding up to hold the ramp! Working that close to the edge of that cliff edge was equally if not more as perilous as any of the jumps Tom did. Incredible work guys.
I wonder how many members of his insurance company had cardiac arrest watching the dailies as Cruise and company practiced this stuff ?!?!
The list of credits for crew is going to be 20 minutes long!
@@HOO996677SI don’t know what you’re trying to say! Who are the “adrenaline junkies?” If you mean audience the same people who race cars, motorcycles, skydive for a hobby, and love roller coasters to begin with! The same ones who go see Fast and Furious movies. Nobodies heart races over the hero having a soliloquy about life.
No, it's not the same. The people erecting the scaffolding had safety gear in place at all times. From the start of that bike ride the actor was without any plan B. The bike malfunctions and he falls of that ramp at top speed, he's dead. The bike starts spinning after leaving the ramp and before guy releases it, he's dead. Any kind of freak air gust speeding up that cliff, guy's dead. There is so much risk in what he does that it's proof of his craft you're not even conscious about it.
