i’ve read Brian’s books in the early 90s and goals yes .. written down have impacted me and people said i was just lucky ..after you wrote it down . the mind will move towards actions to ensure that the goals are achieved
I remember reading his book "Goals - How to Get Everything You Want - Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible" in graduate school and post graduate school. I lost my initial copy awhile back but purchased it again last year at Barnes & Nobles. Not sure why I thought about it yesterday but I took his book off my shelf and opened the book right to the section he talks about writing your goals down everyday (Pages 224-235 in the book). He does mention to write down your 10 goals in the morning and at night. I am committing myself to writing my Top-10 Goals here in December 2024 and see what happens. It does take discipline (Waking up early in the morning to write and turning off the TV at night to write) however as Brian mentions in the book - How Bad Do You Want to Achiever your goals? This exercise puts your discipline to the test. Thank you for the video Ash and love your channel!

@MashhuraMatchanova thank you for taking the time to leave this wonderful and encouraging comment. I appreciate your support and will do my best to make more good videos for you.
Yes the flexibility and novelty of writing down the goals are both important. When you write your goals down each day you 'write' them into your subconscious each day. It's like re-committing to that goal each day. Very powerful. Thanks for taking the time to comment @philippeg3. Here's a link to the full conversation with Brian www.ProductiveInsights.com/207
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment @philippeg3 isn’t it a complete game changer? The simplest technology but so effective especially for humans
Maybe this is key for me. After several moves I’ve been averse to creating more paper clutter but also since I started writing my goals in my phone I’ve been stuck. Gonna go back to paper.
Great question @Goldminks. In my experience, physically writing things down activates a different part of my brain and internalises the goal more deeply. This subsequently means I'm more likely to align my actions with said goal. Are you familiar with the reticular activation system?
@@Goldminks Thanks for making the effort of giving it a go and for reporting back. Can't wait to see what your results are :-) Look forward to hearing from you.
Mr.Roy thanks for your Video.Would you please make a Video with example or how to write goals on paper.Suppose I want to earn 30 lac taka per month and I want to build a duplex within 5 years.
If u donʼt mind i just wanna say that just take a Paper or notebook for writing about ur goals.Itʼs not matter what uʼre going to say or itʼs not about writing skillfully or there is no method to teach u.Only, try to make it happen in ur mind in details and then write it down. Luck, man hopefully, u all achieve ur goals😊

I'll put something together for you.

Great video, Ash. I'm sure that it's not often that Brian Tracy says other people are smarter than he is. What a compliment!

Excellent idea @meredithdarling ... I found that to be very effective
i'm curious what difference is between writing your goals every day and reading your goals aloud every day? sounds like they have same impact
