Probably the most peak video ive ever made to date. Today we dive into the rollercoaster of Australia 2024. This video covers Free Practice, Qualifying, Race, Post-race and also a final verdict of now good this race was.
Overall we got so much action so it was pretty solid with a Max Verstappen DNF, Lewis Hamilton having an engine issue, George Russell bottling it at the last lap, Fernando Alonso's 20 second penalty after the race, Kevin Magnussen pulling off such a great drive, Yuki Tsunoda in the points, Alex Albon not scoring even after getting Logan Sargeant's car as his birthday present, Alpine being Alpine, Haas getting double points, Carlos Sainz winning the race, Charles Leclerc coming in second to give Ferrari a 1-2 finish and the McLaren's of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri finishing right behind. A Formula 1 race I certainly wont forget and I hope this video recap of the entire race weekend can help you guys stimulate your brains.

Why this race was awful:
1. Williams gives Logan’s car to Albon after he crashed his own car
2. 20 second penalty for Alonso without being anywhere near Russell
3. Awful tyre strategies (pitting to hards with less than 20 laps left in the race)
4. McLaren telling Piastri to let Norris pass denying him a podium in his home race (Norris didn’t even catch Leclerc in front so it didn’t make a difference for the team)
But Noris did put some margin tho. So yeah in fact, Noris was faster
Bruh the team allowed Piastri to undercut Norris. Don't act like Piastri deserved the podium, when he literally started behind Norris, plus he finished 20 seconds behind him once Norris overtook him.
welcome to mclaren, did this to riccardo the whole time and norris even tried to get team orders to pass him on moza, before falling many seconds back after a few laps, norris is a such an entittled brat is a fucking joke, hes a hell of a lot worse than vercrappen and christian horny

Wanted to let you in on a weird update. It was your video on the beginner’s guide to f1 that originally got me into F1. Australian race was the first time I watched a race with people who already knew about the races and I was actually able to have a conversation “in F1 terms” with them! So thank you for that! Also, everyone cheered so loudly when Sainz won that our neighbor came over to tell us to quiet down

i know you're an older F1 fan, so you've seen these kinds of races much more often, but personally this race was freaking awesome! seeing someone other than Max win is such a refresher

I only recently got into f1, and this was the first race weekend I have ever watched. You can imagine the look on my sleep-deprived face as I witnessed Yuki Tsunoda push Lewis Hamilton out of q3.
(btw, your channel has been a huge help with teaching me about f1. I wouldn't have known what the heck DRS, the 3 rounds of qualifying, or what tyre types were without your help, keep up the good work!)

I felt so happy to see max out of the race , that I kinda felt sad abt it. And I have been into f1 for just a month , I feel I will losemy mental sanity over this.

Can I just say how much I LOVE the RPM influence?!?!? Then again, Rick really is just a mix of FPW and RPM, but made "lite", and certainly less funny. That said, RPM is a generational talent in the mold (mould) of DaVinci, and FPW is damn good himself. I guess if I'm comparing u to them, then ur doing pretty good!!!

Fernando brake checked Russel, which caused Russel to lose air on his nose, leading to him oversteering into the wall
It happens in the Indy 500 pretty much once a year
I think I specifically jinxed Max Vertappen since I went partying the day before the race and stood up until the place closed at 4AM and then went straight home with the Max Verstappen song fully blasting in my car while I was doing 150kph in the highway to arrive at home near 5AM, boot up the PC and saw MV DNFing in less than 3 laps lmao
I was literally thinking about this in the bath today: "Would be nice if Rick makes a review of each race"
