I have the same journal! But I've been using mine as a clinical journal- just documenting things I learnt, things to look up and things I found interesting. Definitely do this for next year though! Thanks heaps!
I came back to this video to say thank you for this!! I've been using a planner but it hasn't been working super well for me, and I wanted to try bullet journaling but was so intimidated by all the detailed fancy layouts I see people use all the time. I've been trying it and it's only been a couple of days (+ haven't done a year spread etc.....) but I've been LOVING it!!
I never knew it was called a bullet journal!! I started having one in first year when I realized there were so many things to do that I needed to write it down to keep track!! It has really worked so well for me!Mine fits in my coat as well and I write down anything from tasks, important diseases that I need to remember for that module, assignment work and so many other things. I really recommend having one to avoid forgetting stuff.. I will be starting my 3rd year soon and intend on continuing it! :)
absolute favorite bullet journal vid I've seen so far. All of the other ones have all of these pictures and planners -- which is good if you're into that stuff-- but I saw it as being a time waster and just unproductive. Because of this I was always hesitant to start a journal of my own, but you changed my mind!
I just started bullet journaling a day before I saw this video, so funny! I'm not sure if I like it yet though because I like it when the layout is already made - like of the days and months etc. Got to see. :) Loved your video though! It's a joy to see you, also the cute moment with the bubbles in the beginning and end. :)
Great minds think alike :) I have a love hate relationship with pre-made layouts because there a weeks where I don't use my panner at all. Then I just have a bunch of empty pages ... but its so pretty and convenient.
I am doing this since high school. It helped me remember things and be more organized. The usual planners are never my thing tho. I feel like I only waste pages when I do nothing for the day.
So useful!! Thanks! I've been looking for some advice to adapt my BuJo 'cuz it wasn't working for me anymore since I started my rotations. Love your ideas!
I started bullet journaling freshman year of college, and it works so well! I sometimes write 'less important' tasks in different ink or with pencil so that I can do those things when I'm feeling less focused. That also helps me from just completing the easy tasks bc they're more tempting to get started on. Thanks for sharing! Do you have tips for how to get started on those harder tasks? Like getting yourself to start on that 12-page paper or study for a super difficult exam?
Pensandnoodles I like to do things at the beginning of the day to get them over with and I tend to reward myself with watching TV or something after I finish the task. Having a space solely for studying or doing work can also help.
This is so helpful! I've been struggling to keep organised in med school and you just inspired me to start a bullet journal for my next semester! thank you so much. I love your videos BTW ♥😊
Thank you for the advice. Maybe I'm asking too much but I think it would be very helpful to see more details on your BJ or on your personal way of B.Journaling , this one is kind of general one. Share the secret of your success :) .
Ena S I think I'm very simple. I just write down task that I need to complete and check them off as I do. During clinic I use it as a note book and write down certain things I want to look up when I get up. That's about it. No secret.
Anna depends. When I had classes and I knew assignments I needed to do, I would write down things the day before. But now I just write down things as they come up during clinic.
heavythinker16 This is how I actually stay on top of my school work 🤓 lol I like making list and checking them off when I'm done. And it just comes down to work ethic - develop it early!
TheCAppVIDs I'm not sure if I fully understand your question. I started my medical journey late so I did not take the MCAT until I believe was the beginning of 4 year. I took a year off after college to apply for medical school.
Could you share how you prepared for the MCAT or general study advice? I'm just starting, and it's been overwhelming because I don't feel like I have a good plan and there is so much material!
Where did you buy the bullet journal with the pockets? love your videos, very useful... was even helpful to my genius of a nephew who is in high school. I think it will help him decrease stress (with all his honors and AP courses he is taking).
What size is that moleskine? I'm looking for a small one. I only have an A5 and I feel like it's way to big. I work full time so I usually only have weekly plans and monthly.
✋ I liked this video soo much.. actually it's more useful than all that colorful and fake videos.. I really thank you for helping me through out this issue that I was having about my bullet journal.. and I loved your simple system without any complications 💜 I wanna ask you a question if you don't mind, I struggle alot with keeping my bullet journal.. I mean that I use it this week perfectly but 2 days later I forgot about it.. I wonder if that happened to you once?? and how can I stick to mine?! thank you very much.. keep going 👍👌
Amani Nader I do tend to forget about my bullet journal when I don't really have any assignments I need to do. But that's the great thing about the bullet journal - I can pick right back up any time.
I hate to assume, but if that beautiful girl in the video is your daughter can you please do a video on how you balance having a family? I am thinking about becoming a physician, but I want to be a good wife and mother as well
Loretta Lee I wish she was mine! But I was just babysitting. I recently got married and we are planning on starting a family so maybe I can still answer some of your questions
Lola Hone It's actually pretty quick if you don't do the year spread. But girl, I feel you. I wish I could buy a planner that was prefect for me .... I just never found it.
I just found the Lyte planner and holy crap is it actually perfect. Lists galore, super cute, and it has some nice sections for meals and other stuff. It's actually making me excited for 2017 haha
Yes! I've been looking for a medschool BuJo video for sooo long. It's just a bonus it came up in my sub feed from somebody I actually like watching
Réka Kis 🤓 Thanks for watching

I wanted to share my journals with you throughout the video! The paper/journal nerd in me was screaming. Glad to see you doing well!
Thuy Dung Nguyen Thank you. I saw you moved. And do share your journal secrets!
I'm definitely going to try this next semester! planners are so expensive it's ridiculous... the planner i have now i don't even look at 😒
YES!! It has changed my life - let me know if it works out for you.

Yes! Try it and let me know how you like it. You can call mine the minimalist bullet journal :)
Thanks. I love this vlog. I just bought some bullet journals on Amazon. I can't decide on which color journal I want to start with. They are all cute.
I dropped by PNWU last week driving back from Seattle to check it out. What a nice looking school! :)
I 👏 NEED 👏 THAT 👏 SHIRT 👏 I'm about to set up my med school bullet journal I'm HYPE!
Thanks girl 😬 the shirt is so old but I think it’s from forever 21! And I’m still bullet journaling 5 years latter!! Love it
I love Brandon Sanderson!!! That book was so good!
I am starting at Ross in a few weeks. I may try this!
you just got yourself a new sub!!! i'm an MD student too from israel . loved the video!!!!
Not even in med school and this is so helpful! Thank you!
I love that you're not using the "bullet journal" I use a basic moleskine and I love it. love your system. and good luck with school!

Thank you :) ! Do you use the same method for tracking your studing and revision or you apply some other techniques ?
Yes! I use the same method for tracking my study topics.
Thank you! You are very kind .
Can u show us ur hair routine lol I know random but ur hair is gorgeous!
Thank you :) I don't know how many people will be interested but I can easily do that on snapchat.
yes! would love that :)
Do you fill in your daily to do the night before or the morning of that day?
Anna depends. When I had classes and I knew assignments I needed to do, I would write down things the day before. But now I just write down things as they come up during clinic.
Can you make a video about staying on top of lessons in med school? :)
heavythinker16 This is how I actually stay on top of my school work 🤓 lol I like making list and checking them off when I'm done. And it just comes down to work ethic - develop it early!
In what year of university did you take the MCAT? I was wondering on doing the 2nd year and if I need to the 4th year as well.

I got them off amazon - I put a link to the products in the description box.
thanks girl
What size is that moleskine? I'm looking for a small one. I only have an A5 and I feel like it's way to big. I work full time so I usually only have weekly plans and monthly.
I believe it is a 5.5 x 3.5. I linked the ones I've bought in the description box.
How many bullet journals do you use a year? I'd like to have one notebook for one year but it's hard to gauge how much paper you'll use!
One bullet Journal usually last me about a year, sometimes a little longer.
✋

It's more of a pocket notebook rather than a bullet journal. Sorry.
