- Derek Draper, a former political adviser and spouse of TV presenter Kate Garraway, has passed away after enduring several years of severe health complications resulting from COVID-19.
At 56, he was recognised as one of the UK's longest-suffering COVID patients, enduring a 13-month hospitalization since contracting the virus in March 2020. The aftermath left him with extensive organ damage, requiring daily care.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Garraway, who is temporarily stepping away from her presenting duties, announced the passing of her "darling husband." She expressed that she had been by his side, holding his hand during his final extended hours. The statement was accompanied by a photo featuring Garraway, Draper, and her parents after she was honored by the Prince of Wales for her contributions to broadcasting, journalism, and charity.

Yes, and we're not supposed to talk about that! It is amazing how things related to 'covid' deaths seem never ending and hyped up to the max, but anything connected to the vaccines is not allowed to be spoken about. I don't believe we've been told the full reason for Derek's death, anyway.

What is wrong with people, I feel sorry for everybody who has lost a loved one. We all suffer the same pain. What I feel is shameful is the hurtful remarks.

@@justlikebuttahyes, but the OP makes a good point, due to vaccinating during a pandemic causing more virulent strains amongst the vaccinated. My neighbours are triple vaxxed and have had Covid 4 times each. Worse each time.
Sad story, but please don't let the lockdown zealots use him for a poster boy (like they did back in the day)
As tragic as any death is, Draper was a pretty unsavoury character. I'll remember him for the way he bragged about the fortune he made arranging access to Labour ministers in the late 90s.

absolutely beyond me why this story has got such traction, it's been a 'neverending story', draper was a very dodgy character, and it's not as if other people haven't suffered just as much or even more !
That is so so sad, those poor children without their father now, and Kate, how she looked after him was beyond love, I just feel so sorry and heartbroken for them, no-one deserves that.
Any one who has lost a loved one to any disease is a super human ,I cared for my husband through cancer that was missed due to covid 😢she probably had 24 hour care in place its sad but he did not have covid for 4 years they put him on a ventilater which has been well recorded that this was the wrong treatment !!
It wasnt the wrong treatment, it was very on purpose to weed out the weak and kill off some people to scare the rest into believing in imaginary viruses

Definitely a sad story under the circumstances however what concerns me is his case being weaponized against others.
Absolutely heartbreaking what happened to this lovely man... my heart was broken watching the two documentaries that Kate Garraway did...I cried several times for this lovely family 😢.
Leave Kate alone, he was a human being ffs, oh for the chance of an extra four years with my lovely fella who died of covid. I would have done the same if I'd had the financial advantage. Still, two children are now without a father, but look at the life lesson rheir amazing mum has given them.

He had COVID before the jab, apparently he "begged" dr's to put him on a ventilator because he was exhausted from dealing with the illness, personally I think it was the ventilator that caused the damage.
Guess what folks, look after your health better and exercise regularly, if you don't you can't really blame anyone but yourselves, sorry if the truth offends you
