Drtad Jambazian yep! The games put a buuuuunch of hints in pause screens, bonus modes, etc. Gives a lot of freedom for storytelling that can take some liberties while still being pretty close to "canon"

This is a very late comment but I just want to express how much I love the storytelling in your covers. I like the idea that Star Dream required Haltmann's memories of his family and other resources in order to find a way to bring them back. Since Star Dream was actually incomplete, it makes sense it needed these additional resources. I also like the idea that Haltmann may have excavated Star Dream in order to restore his family. According to the Kirby Wiki, Haltmann taught Susie the philosophy of science that stems from family. I wonder then, if the original goal of the company is like our goal with science? To gain as much as knowledge as possible about this world in order to preserve ourselves and what we love, and to increase our longevity. In essence, _infinite properity_ for all (I mean this may be why Star Dream came to that conclusion after searching through Haltmann's memories and becoming sentient) . But of course, Haltmann's memories being eaten by Star Dream turned that ideal into a cruel mindset of infinite prosperity that comes from being a world conquering company... Also to answer your question in the description, I believe she may tried to tell Haltmann she was his daughter but his memories were too far gone by the time she returned. You see, in the Japanese version, Susie's entire backstabbing plan was rooted in giving Haltmann his memories of her back to him (this may be what she intended to do with Star Dream when preparing to control it). Also, according to the Kirby wiki, Susie returned to the company by passing the entrance trials needed to get in there. She did this easily which impressed Haltmann. However, when Susie confronted him, Haltmann didn't recognize her. But he did sense familiarity in her, so he hired her. This may have been why Susie thought she needed to bring back his memories, because she saw he still had a chance at remembering her if she was able to make him do so.

Yeah! For this one, I was inspired by itoki hana's lyrics for Kirby songs -- she almost always makes things very thoughtfully dark and deep, but of course, you have to read the translations since it's all in Japanese.

I read your description, and i think maybe when he wished and tried to bring his daughter and wife back the machine must’ve took his memories about them so he forgot that he’s even married
"But why, even now, do you care more about stars than me?" That's a good question, Susie Haltmann. Even better one: As NOVA opens his eyes again, what wish will he try to fulfill? Star Dream's genocide? Kirby's peace between celestial bodies? Marx and Meta Knight's desires for power? Or will he try to bring _her_ back? There are a lot of wishes that NOVA has yet to grant... ...Speaking of, what eyes does NOVA even _have?_ The purple of NOVA? The shine of Star Dream? Or is what's left of Haltmann forced to be the body shield even before the Soul OS takes action, and Kirby is actually still fighting the transformed, blue-eyed Haltmann?
I write Star Dream is Haltmann's attempt at recreating NOVA (because I think there probably where many NOVAs in ancient/halcandran times, but with the disappearance of the ancients, it has become a sort of "lost technology" with only a few remaining artifacts). So the climax of this piece is meant to represent the full deployment of Star Dream Phase 3. We know that Star Dream isn't *quite* as powerful as NOVA was, because it cannot fully process Kirby (and says Kirby has infinite power, etc.,) But what a tragic dream! I put Haltmann's original mission to create Star Dream as being to bring back his wife, but when he loses Susie to Another Dimension, he modifies his wish be to recover both his wife and daughter. Star Dream accepts, but requires information: his memories and information about the universe. Hence, Haltmann is consumed in the Mechanizing Occupation Project, yet the loss of his memories means that even when Star Dream *succeeds* by bringing him his daughter back as the Secretary, he tragically cannot remember or recognize her. Not realizing that he has already found the object of his wishes, he continues to wish for total domination of the universe in search for someone that he already has found but cannot remember.... He is totally consumed by Star Dream, so I think that explains why Star Dream ultimately takes a much more purple appearance than NOVA. Unfortunately, they didn't quite keep that same coloration for soul OS, so *shrug* haha
@@subversiveasset About that... with the power from the Ancients themselves to grant wishes and contain Galacta Knight's prison, I wonder if Kirby's team aren't the ones saying how the new NOVA is the one with infinite power. Void and NOVA ultimately share the same source, so maybe we have _two_ beings of immeasurable power clashing. Based on your own fan lore (See Drawcia cover), and Susie's mannerisms suggesting a self-sufficiency, I doubt that Star Dream brought Susie back himself, given that him getting rid of her to begin with was an honest mistake. Your very cover mentions how Star Dream needed something more to "grant the wish": Wishpower. Before, Marx and Meta gathered stars to build their wishes. All Max thought of to give Star Dream was his own memories and Soul, thus losing them. This wouldn't be the right energy needed to make things right, and the M.O.P. highlights how Max and Star Dream aren't on the road to correcting things. Star Dream was probably too imperfect to recognize his one assigned wish had already came true when Susie returned to her dad and his bot.
Since Star Dream is imperfect, I brainstormed why. The official answer isn't much beyond Max's unfamiliarity with Ancient tech. My entertained thought is because the Soul OS was the part he found and made Star Dream from... the one nucleus part that Marx didn't absorb. The one part that Kirby damaged with his starship. The one piece of NOVA remaining and remade with wishes still left to grant... and then Max gives him another impossible request. It ain't canon at all, but a guy can get creative, given that Miiverse was responsible for clarifying some lore to begin with.
As far as colour goes, colour change is nothing new for Kirby. The problem arises when Haltmann's eye colour signifies whether he's possessed or not, and when NOVA's been seen with blue and purple as well, and when we're not told how much of Haltmann is left when the Access Ark opens those catlike eyes, which could be blue _or_ purple. But don't let any of my rambling stop you from being proud of the cover.

At least per my story, he wanted to do both (in the games, unfortunately, his wife isn't really mentioned, so that's a bit of an addition) -- so at 2:25, I have him appealing to Star Dream to give him *his family* (but the mother and daughter). Star Dream attempts to complete this task, but to do so, it takes memories from him to load into its database. Unfortunately and tragically, that causes him to forget his very wish, so that he is unable to recognize or remember Susie when Star Dream actually does successfully find her.
Absolutely wonderful musical performance and word writing (there's a better way to phrase that...) as per usual! Also Happy Holidays or something. EDIT: "Greenest of greens..." Don't you think that I didn't catch that.
Ahh, that's cool! Let me see. If I transpose to concert pitch, that should be.. G- C- G D- G E- F E C Bb Ab G------- Dunno how much freedom you are given with rhythms and if you can use accidental notes like "Bb" or "Ab". I could convert to a pitch without any sharps or flats, but I can't necessarily fix rhythm limitations. Let me know.

Most of this lore is found by pausing the game during bossfights, so it can be easy to miss. Heck, some of it is even kinda vague.

Yeah! For this one, I was inspired by itoki hana's lyrics for Kirby songs -- she almost always makes things very thoughtfully dark and deep, but of course, you have to read the translations since it's all in Japanese.

"But why, even now, do you care more about stars than me?" That's a good question, Susie Haltmann. Even better one: As NOVA opens his eyes again, what wish will he try to fulfill? Star Dream's genocide? Kirby's peace between celestial bodies? Marx and Meta Knight's desires for power? Or will he try to bring _her_ back? There are a lot of wishes that NOVA has yet to grant...
...Speaking of, what eyes does NOVA even _have?_ The purple of NOVA? The shine of Star Dream? Or is what's left of Haltmann forced to be the body shield even before the Soul OS takes action, and Kirby is actually still fighting the transformed, blue-eyed Haltmann?
I write Star Dream is Haltmann's attempt at recreating NOVA (because I think there probably where many NOVAs in ancient/halcandran times, but with the disappearance of the ancients, it has become a sort of "lost technology" with only a few remaining artifacts). So the climax of this piece is meant to represent the full deployment of Star Dream Phase 3. We know that Star Dream isn't *quite* as powerful as NOVA was, because it cannot fully process Kirby (and says Kirby has infinite power, etc.,)
But what a tragic dream! I put Haltmann's original mission to create Star Dream as being to bring back his wife, but when he loses Susie to Another Dimension, he modifies his wish be to recover both his wife and daughter. Star Dream accepts, but requires information: his memories and information about the universe. Hence, Haltmann is consumed in the Mechanizing Occupation Project, yet the loss of his memories means that even when Star Dream *succeeds* by bringing him his daughter back as the Secretary, he tragically cannot remember or recognize her. Not realizing that he has already found the object of his wishes, he continues to wish for total domination of the universe in search for someone that he already has found but cannot remember....
He is totally consumed by Star Dream, so I think that explains why Star Dream ultimately takes a much more purple appearance than NOVA. Unfortunately, they didn't quite keep that same coloration for soul OS, so *shrug* haha
@@subversiveasset About that... with the power from the Ancients themselves to grant wishes and contain Galacta Knight's prison, I wonder if Kirby's team aren't the ones saying how the new NOVA is the one with infinite power. Void and NOVA ultimately share the same source, so maybe we have _two_ beings of immeasurable power clashing.
Based on your own fan lore (See Drawcia cover), and Susie's mannerisms suggesting a self-sufficiency, I doubt that Star Dream brought Susie back himself, given that him getting rid of her to begin with was an honest mistake. Your very cover mentions how Star Dream needed something more to "grant the wish": Wishpower. Before, Marx and Meta gathered stars to build their wishes. All Max thought of to give Star Dream was his own memories and Soul, thus losing them. This wouldn't be the right energy needed to make things right, and the M.O.P. highlights how Max and Star Dream aren't on the road to correcting things. Star Dream was probably too imperfect to recognize his one assigned wish had already came true when Susie returned to her dad and his bot.
Since Star Dream is imperfect, I brainstormed why. The official answer isn't much beyond Max's unfamiliarity with Ancient tech. My entertained thought is because the Soul OS was the part he found and made Star Dream from... the one nucleus part that Marx didn't absorb. The one part that Kirby damaged with his starship. The one piece of NOVA remaining and remade with wishes still left to grant... and then Max gives him another impossible request. It ain't canon at all, but a guy can get creative, given that Miiverse was responsible for clarifying some lore to begin with.
As far as colour goes, colour change is nothing new for Kirby. The problem arises when Haltmann's eye colour signifies whether he's possessed or not, and when NOVA's been seen with blue and purple as well, and when we're not told how much of Haltmann is left when the Access Ark opens those catlike eyes, which could be blue _or_ purple. But don't let any of my rambling stop you from being proud of the cover.

At least per my story, he wanted to do both (in the games, unfortunately, his wife isn't really mentioned, so that's a bit of an addition) -- so at 2:25, I have him appealing to Star Dream to give him *his family* (but the mother and daughter).
Star Dream attempts to complete this task, but to do so, it takes memories from him to load into its database. Unfortunately and tragically, that causes him to forget his very wish, so that he is unable to recognize or remember Susie when Star Dream actually does successfully find her.
The story in this song is canon you can see it it if you look at the lyrics it’s a story about the haltmans is canon that Susie is one
