@@supersonicheroes I don't think it counts because they weren't really fighting to win anything and Nala was just enjoying herself. In a serious pin war, Simba never developed proper technique for it. Now we see him figure it out to beat scar, which is pretty cool.
This was easy to see as a child. At least for me it was. Nala was the one who taught him that move to flip Scar. She did to him twice. In reality that fall would've killed Scar. Also worth noting, after Scar hits the bottom, we still see the purity in Simba's heart as he looks over to see if Scar is okay

He only got that vision of his father because Nala made him question his decision and go looking for self discovery. Never would have happened if not for Nala, so yeah, she was a primary contributer to Simba's return. And what was Nala supposed to do to help Simba against Scar and the Hyenas. While the female lions are more in quantity, the male tends to be the main defender from bigger threats. There were too many Hyenas for her to singlehandedly save him without getting killed and, knowing Simba, he would have told her to stay back and help the other lionesses instead.

Rafiki is the one that helped Simba see Mufasa. Sorry but my point still stands. Even if Nala never arrived Rafiki would still convince him.

But in biological view simba would lose very easily You see lions eat bones and meat to sharp their teeth and to get important nutriens and minerals for bones and teeth, simba on the other hand used on squishy bugs and insects so if he could bite scar his teeth would be broken so easily and he would only chew him to death 😂😂😂😂😂😂
