Sarasota-Manasota Key Bike Ride 2024

‪@Dean_Trips‬ Dean rides his Colnago road bike from south Sarasota to Manasota Key and back in early April 2024. Dean follows theLegacy Trail south, then cuts over to beautiful Casey Key before returning to the trail to head further south through Venice and on to Manasota Key. After a brief stop at Engelwood Beach, Dean heads in a north easterly direction to North Port. Dean rides along South River Road but it isn't a recommended cycling route due to inconsistent bike lane and heavy traffic. Dean cycles past Warm Mineral Springs then finds the Legacy Trail connector which starts in a North Port neighborhood and parallels Interstate I-75 for a little ways. The route eventually follows Border Road heading west to connect back up with the Legacy Trail. Dean covers over 76 miles in over 4 hours of riding time. / strava
