This experience with Unique Toys has showed me that it might be more wise to wait until all figures are out before you make a decision to buy them or the competition. The only problem or risk with that is the possibility of not being able to find one of the figures once they're all finished..or available. Chances we have to take in life. I agree w Bobby....UT done us a bamboozled. Baited us w/ Swindle and Brawl then they threw G1 accuracy out the window. I still like the set but will definitely be more cautious of UT's offerings in the future.
I want to love this figure, I love the feel of it, the transformation of it and the overall look of it. But mine came missing one of the entire front wheel assembly's. The Helicopter blades are loose when they are fully extended (nothing a little floor polish wont fix) and yeah he won't hold the guns (his are to loose, while Lashlayer is to tight)
This one is definitely better than Blastoff. The geeeeeeeeeooonnne source material shows Vortex with his blades out. It's a nice look on this figure with his blades half out forming a plus sign on his back and also with the turbines on the shoulders. Much more geeeeeeeeooooonnnne.... Do you have any idea when the MMC bruticus is coming (like release dates for the figures)? I want to know what the figures look like (like the prototype figures).
I just discovered my wife has never seen The Flight of Dragons. I have not seen it in ages. Now I must track it down so she can see it and I can give it a new view many years later. Man that is disappointing about that landing gear. I find it very odd how screen accurate Swindle and Brawl were and then the Vortex and Blast off were so radically different. It truly does look and feel like a different line. Solid review, Bobby! Digging the changes, the little cuts and references. Enjoying it very much.
Bad comparison there my man, if you're gonna go sea sponge at least use an MP sea sponge! Awesome reference too, have your pick of either a Shield of Saturn or a Flute of Olympus.
