Thank you for giving a shout out to my father Epic. You all made my dad so happy and proud in his final months on earth. He was a humble and hilarious man who loved to challenge himself.
I am also praying for the family of Twinkle Toes and Sadie. You are all in my thoughts
I never met your dad, but he did something that 99% of people will never even attempt, and that's EPIC!

I like to send out a big welcome to all the hikers entering my home state of rocksyvaina . I have never been to the northern part of the Pennsylvania section of the AT . But I do enjoy a good day hike across the rocks . I wish I could show you pictures of the adventure a had last Saturday but my knowledge of technology is limited . Also my responsibility to my wife and jod plus the fact I have never back packed even for over night prevent me from ever doing a through hike I'm also lousy at planning ahead so my hat's off to all of you that have the guts to make an attempt .✌️👍👍👍

Still enjoying your updates. Did my LASH last year from Vt/NH line sobo to Northern PA. 450 miles. I was surprised how beautiful it was. And how rocky NJ was. 1750 down and 450 left to finish. Saved the best for last - NH & ME. Won't happen this fall as we are moving into a new house as soon as it gets finished. Hopefully next year will be the one. Papa Muskrat.
Very sad to hear about the deaths of those 2 men on the trail. 😢 Prayers for their families. 🙏🏻 It seems many of these tragic deaths and heart attacks are men that are older or are overweight. I want to encourage anyone who is 50 or older or overweight to please be evaluated by your family physician before engaging in an AT thru hike. An ECG and/or stress test may be prudent to look for any hidden cardiac problems. As we age, silent health issues can develop that don't manifest until we're under intense physical demands. Please be safe; get evaluated by your physician. Advice from this 60 year old lady. 😊

Moss tents are great tents, hard to find. Either eBay or owner of one. But few will sell theirs...like me. Very well made. A magazine editor years ago put up various tents in his yard in winter, Idaho, and only the Moss was standing at winters end. Find one if you can.
I hate to hear someone get hurt on the trail BUT to lose 2 people it put a tear in my eye.

I think he was 3 or 4 at HF. #1 at Baxter but there was another hiker near him in his last update so not sure if he passed him or not

Sadie is not a child. She’s a dog. That’s an insult to people who have lost children. Law enforcement would be looking for a child.
Lighten up, Not even close to an insult, lots of people that don't have human children consider dogs and cats their fur babies.
I agree totally, I use to love listening to you ramdino but seems like you have went to the dogs. Sorry to say but you can talk about a missing dog for months but if any hikers die or go missing you mention them for 2 minutes. No bad intent but you should let sleeping dog lye and get off this abduction of a dog garbage.
@@Kyfried this is a bad faith comparison. If a person went missing on trail Ramdino would be leading the search effort for them too. You should be appreciative this man is kind enough to even do the same for a dog. If somebody went missing on the trail, would you take weeks out of your life to help? If not, then you have no moral ground to judge from and nothing of value to add here.
