It’s so crazy to think that considering all the other breathing styles derive from sun breathing and here you can actually see some form of the other breathing styles and movements displayed here in a way, like when he charges towards muzan it looks like he’s performing rengokus 9th form/ thunder clap and flash. And his dodging ability is a form of water breathing considering water breathing is more for defense, even when he is slicing around his body it reminds me of water breathing 4th form striking tide. He’s literally using all the other forms within Sun breathing
Just need to point out that Yoriichi doesn't really have a defensive posture, so the typical water breathing as we know it is not really useful for him, as Kokushibo said when he encountered him the last time, his fighting stance was absolutely airtight and his swords skills were nothing less than godly, it was pure and unilateral offensive, and that's what makes the Sun breathing the most powerful of them all, see it as the sun actually lol ! If you're a demon and you get not even 1 second into the sun, you're dead, it's instantaneous, and it will catch you without failing, well It's kind of the idea for the Sun breathing, It doesn't have a defensive state because It DOESNT need a defensive state, as a demon, you don't attack the sun, you run away from it, and pray that its rays doesn't reach you. And Muzan understood that perfectly, which is why he didn't show his ass until Yoriichi died lol !
Also, something that also highlights what I said is when Tanjiro saved Uzui from Gyutaro's flying blood blades sickles, he was using the Sun breathing at that time and couldn't parry the blades at all, until he understood that it won't be effective at all and switched to water breathing

It actually made me think. Muzan was in his prime then yoriichi showed up killing most of Muzan's cells and almost killing the demon king. When Muzan escaped he was in a crippled state. Yet in Tanjiro's Era he is still able to effortlessly take on multiple hashira and demon slayer corps members. That just further emphasizes the strength of Yoriichi who drove Muzan into a corner almost effortlessly

Muzan was such a threat that he could have killed the strongest character in the manga/anime with only 1 attack. Muzan was too much of a coward to realize that he actually had the upper hand. For Yoriichi to kill Muzan not only does Yoriichi need to decapitate him but Yoriichi also has to destroy all 10 of Muzan hearts.

The best part is how Yoriichi commentates the fight. Kokushibo does it in his fight aswell its interesting to get a commentary about the fight from the perspective of the stronger warrior instead of the overwhelmed thoughts of the weaker fighter

He did regenerate tho but he was left with severe PTSD which is something he couldn't heal from.
