Thank you for featuring the Binondo Church. It means alot for us Catholics. The first filipino martyr and Saint as canonized by the Catholic Church used to be a mass server in that church and he is a Filipino Chinese by decent.
The food in Chinatown looks so good and very reasonable in price! Now you guys have me wanting to go to the Philippines and spend some quality time in Manila so I can take in the history and amazing food :)
Steve Hartz The Chinese food in the Philippines is delicious! Food in general is very good over there! You definitely should go. And Manila is a very interesting place, so much history, very vibrant and chaotic, but great place to explore.
I'll definitely visit when I go to the Philippines. I used to live in one Chinatown (in Oakland, California) and work in another (in San Francisco). And thank you for including the food prices at Quik Snack!
You look like you know your way around Chinatown! Walking briskly to all the famous food places. I'm glad you don't waste food by taking a few bites only for the camera and leaving the rest. Enjoying your takeouts at leisure is the best way to do it. Now I'm hungry, darn.
I love all food but I would have to say Asian and Mexican food is my favorite. That includes the Philippine cuisine. However though I am not fond of balut. That's just nasty. I really do like the both of you videos
Just fyi, not all Filipinos eat or like balut, myself included. There’s so much unnecessary hype behind it. Balut is typically street food, it’s not something that you would normally find in a party at someone’s house. There’s no need to mention it. Dont even bother.
I've been to Binondo Chinatown a few times but there's still a lot to try. Watching your video made me feel so hungry and made me want to go to Chinatown right at this very moment haha. Enjoy your stay, welcome to the Philippines 👋

Chinese foods in the Philippines the best for me because of filipino fusion. Tried chinese foods here in the UK, US or even in the mainland but for me Among the places chinese foods I tried the chinese foods in the philippines is the best

@@rampage4695 there's no evidence for such claim. I'm an Architecture student currently studying a History of architecture under the Philippine architecture. Nice vlog. Yummy. I like manila Chinatown. Next time, stop by Eng Bee Tin. They serve hopia. Also try Ling Nam. They serve Maki (pork sticky soup) and good siopao.
As soon as she opened the door to quick snack, I immediately had flashbacks of my childhood! Mom used to take me there as she loved their noodles so much! How did you even know about this place??? It's not exactly easy to find but it sure has been around that long for a reason!
Amazing Chinatown luv all the food stuff u 2 bought there like the siopao dumpling and lumpia so taste good and delicious hope we can do the same thing sooner stay safe keep cool cheers
The Chinatown in Manila was established by the Spaniards for the Chinese who converted to Christianity. The Spaniards put them in that area because it is outside the walls of Intramuros (where the Spanish governor general and most of the Spanish lived), and it could be reached by cannonballs in case there was an uprising by the Chinese and the Spanish needed to put them down. Very long and interesting history. Prior to the arrival of the Spanish, Chinese merchants, as well as other nationalities such as Indians and Japanese, have been living in Manila in order to conduct trade with the Filipinos.
Wow! I didn't know that is the oldest Chinatown! Very beautiful and historic! Just looking at all those tasty food samples I think I gained weight! haha! You are so thin and appear to be always eating, how are you so thin?! Haha, amazing, thank you for another interesting video.
Yeah it's one of the problem in so many countries today "food waste" many people doesn't seem to care how much food were being waste and this has to be changed
There is a famous restaurant in china town manila, the owner before only sell food products around the streets way before we are born but now they are so very rich, with so many branches of restaurant, houses, cars etc. been in philippine news. Their family business continues.
Hmm. Phuket and manila are different places in terms what they can offer. The proper comparison would be manila versus bangkok or pukhet versus boracay. Go to both Thailand and the Philippines. But it is easier to converse to people here in PH. If you go to Manila, note that Manila is the City within Metro Manila. Metro Manila is composed of many cities. Manila city is the historic side. If you prefer the more modern side, BGC and Makati are the top destinations (which are within Metro Manila). Pasay is where you can find the largest mall as well as some of the larger casinos. If you want to shop cheaper products, go to divisoria (cheapest but really chaotic) or greenhills in San Juan (more organized). If you want beaches, then the Visayas is the better place to go. Cebu city is the largest there and can open you to the other destinations such as bohol, boracay, siquijor, or even Palawan. Siargao was once the best but it was devastated by the typhoon.
The church in Binondo (Chinatown) is not where the archbishop has a seat. The archbishop of Manila has a seat in the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros - a bigger and grander church.
