Had one just like it when I was a kid, but it had zoomie headers. It did not suffer fools at all, especially once we could not get a kit for the 2 barrel it had and swapped on a 4 barrel.. I wore gloves feeding it once and damn near dislocated a shoulder, that was a never again experience.
Nice old unit. I have a similar chipper by Wayne with the 318 Chrysler. Just a few vids on my channel. They’re great chippers for farm use. I try and cut my branches smaller and “spear chuck” them in as much as I can. Just subscribed!
Hello, Surprised to see the the exact same chipper as mine with the 331 V8 the chipper drum throat is 16x10 but the biggest diameter I can get it to chip is around 6 plus inches. Funny my gauges are the same as your original ones and someone added the same pipe on the engagement handle even the same tongue swivel jack. It's very loud and yes when feeding it will pull the large branches in whipping your arms, it's so fast. Great video thanks.
I joined a few groups on facebook that center around tree trimming. I made posts asking if anyone had parts. I had one or two that replied and i bought from one guy. I was unable to find the blower fan anywhere else. I made a lot of calls to dealers and parts houses. Nobody stocks parts for this old machine anymore. After running the machine only a few hours, the blower fan ate itself away again. I peeked in the housing and the fan was completely gone again. If I had it to do again, I wouldn't worry about replacing it.
@@justtinkering6054 gotcha thanks for the reply. I have an old whisper chipper with the ford straight 6 on it and thats the last part that is broken but doesnt sound like its worth the hassle.

Nice looking chips. Blades must be sharp and set just right. Good work!

How about the linkage for carb
Linkage for the carb was in good shape. I didn't have to make any real changes to it.
Or know where I can get a used motor at
