i am a simple man. i see Garfield in the thumbnail, i click..... jokes aside though i'm so glad more people are talking about Bound For Home!! it's always been super interesting of a topic to me and i gotta wonder what happened to the game. like, if it was set to come out around the pretty popular Garfield movie's release, why'd it suddenly go unheard of? why was it only found in a single box set? do any prototypes of the game exist? it's so mysterious and i really like that. i'm hoping at least some screenshots of the game will pop up someday. from what i've heard, i think it was going to use graphics and models that are closer to Jim Davis' art style and i'm curious if it would have used something like cel-shading to use that, considering all the other 3D Garfield games so far don't use that method and it ends up looking weird... the plot synopsis also kind of reminds me a little bit of 'Rat Rebellion', an episode of The Garfield Show that used to be lost media and only got shown on TV once or twice. it involves a bunch of rat characters taking over Muncie (Garfield's hometown) and they start with messing with the food in Jon's house. probably a coincidence, but it has a couple vaguely similar plot elements and i thouht that was interesting. on the off chance what was produced of it ends up getting found, i'd like to add it to my collection of emulated games :P pieces of media that is advertised a couple times and then never end up releasing are some of the most interesting lost media cases i've come across!!
You ever heard of a game called Agartha ? It was a dream cast horror winter game sadly it was cancelled and there is not a lot of information on it some tech demos have been dumped but we still have no idea what the story was really meant to be it’s worth a look into and I think you’d find it interesting.
There was a sonic manga in the 90s Japan had a lot of it seems to be missing and it is very different from the games sonic is a alta ego of Nikki the hedgehog he has a family and girlfriend called Amie
I remember cebeebies spring watch I use to watch it as a kid I wonder if my Nan still has my old vhs tapes I remember I use to record it and story makers to watch again later I’ll have to check
yep! his name was Lyman. he showed up in earlier comic strips from 1978-1983 as Jon's roommate and brought his dog Odie to live with him in Jon's house. he was the silly goofier counter to Jon's at the time more stoic and relaxed nature and thus their character traits would bounce off of each other. there were even some strips that didn't feature Garfield at all, instead just being Jon and Lyman being the focus of the punchline. Lyman's mainly known for his mysterious disappearance from the comic strip, having his last regular appearance in '83, appearing in a 10th anniversary strip and having one last cameo in 2013. a lot of people think Jon kidnapped Lyman, but the most likely reason is that Jim Davis removed Lyman because Garfield started being utilised more as someone Jon could talk to, with Jon adapting Lyman's more sillier traits and Garfield becoming the one to point out Jon's manic nature as the main punchline. Lyman appeared in The Garfield Show to make up a story as to why Lyman disappeared, it's a pretty interesting conclusion! (also dunno why the first reply says Odie's owner was Jon's brother,,, Jon's brother is Doc Boy and he lives up on his parent's farm. they must've mixed something up :P)
Once again I am requesting coverage of the MAD Magazine TV Special that aired in 87' with only one segment of the show known in existence

Garfield bound for home was developed by humansoft.
Guys is it true that John from Garfield had a roommate that was the original owner of Odie? Y'all ever hear that
Yes and in fact, Odie’s owner was John’s brother.

That "What's Wrong with Ruth?" didn't look good
That, and goat’s aren’t very marketable as a species (I know from experience)
