3 - 8ft boards (1×3")
1 -1/2" dowel
2 - 1/2" x 2 1/2" carriage bolts
2 - 1/2" washers
2 - 1/2" knobs
4 - 5/16" x 3" carriage bolts
4 - 2 1/2" wood screws or toggle anchors to mount onto wall
Basic tools
Saw
Drill
Drill bits (1/2, 5/16, 13/64)
Sander
Sand Paper rough to fine
Hammer
Wood glue
Clamps or Brad nail gun ( 1" brads)
Pencil
Tape measure
Mounting
Phillips #2
Stud finder
This video shows how to make your very own artist wall mounted easel for minimal cost with a very simple design that doesn't require too many tools. This easel is my own design to specialize in the most important features, such as holding canvas and panels perfectly secure with no wobble or dropsy, saving tremendous space, and ease of use to enhance painting experience. What did you use to cover the threads of the carriage bolts on the risers?
Any rubber tubing would work. My updated easels use 1/4" gas line
