    The description of your book in English from the web link you provided in this video's description: "Who were the first Norwegians? Where did they come from and what legacy have they left behind? This is a unique history book, based on new technology and DNA research, which allows us to see our own history with new eyes.
    Constant improvements in DNA technology have in recent years led to a revolution in our understanding of history. New methods mean that parts of our history must now be rewritten. 12,000 years of Norwegian history provides a new overview of the long lines of our oldest history. Through conversations between Wolfgang Wee and Sturla Ellingvåg, based on Ellingvåg's extensive knowledge of the latest DNA research, we learn, among other things, how the hunter-gatherer community gained a much greater role in Norway than in other parts of Europe. This book gives us new insights into how we should understand ourselves and our own history."

Therefore, I think you are about to establish a new form of scientific approach (hopefully followed by a more nuanced form of discourse). Go ahead & congrats, Sturla! I am German (though people regularly tell me I look Scandinavian) and I excel in swimming and especially diving, compared to running. My refugee friends can run much faster than me but can only make half the distance of me in diving.
    Could this be because of my seafaring ancestry?

      if you are from Northern Germany your DNA might be almost identical to Danes and also Dutch , I read a British study on Anglo Saxon DNA in Brits , they have an average of 30% in Scotland and 38% in England, and the Anglo-Saxon DNA is very similar to modern day Danes and Dutch , since Anglo- Saxons also came from northern Germany that may be why

    • @fredriks5090
      @fredriks5090 Год назад +4

      Harald Fairhair was not the first norwegian king. He was not even the first of "Norway" as a named entity.
      Fairhair FIRST united all the eastern kingdoms and chieftain territories before LAST defeating the kings of Rogaland,- where "Nordvegen" was located.
      Nordvegen has been inhabited since the first disappearance of the glaciers,- which was long before most of norway lost its own ice.
      Basically, Icelanders were actual norwegians fleeing the arrival of continental royalty, religion and rulesets.

Havent been to Iceland yet, but I must say its getting into the prioritation zone 😅 It seems they still have customs and traditions going, language 95% the same as ON, kvithas/edda, and the few icelenders I've met, has been hardcore pagans. The cooling events, when you say to people the trend is we are getting colder they look at you funny as if its a lie, but after each cooling event we arent getting as warm as the period before going right back to the start of the Holocene Climatic Optimum which started 9000 years ago. When you say about we are entering a cooling phase have you noticed all the volcanic activity happening all over the world, the Hunga Tonga was the biggest eruption since Krakatoa and The Year Without a Summer in 1816, I also watch a Icelandic channel on the volcanism and he said Iceland goes through an 800 year cycle and its just started a new 800 year cycle. Im staking my claim that its down to The Great Conjunction which takes place every 397 years and its the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn and their proximity to Earth but depending on where the Earth is it seems every other cycle the Earth is closer to the conjunction so every 794 years the volcanism begins with differing in the magnitude of effects each time. The Great Conjunction took place on 21st of December 2020 of all days...
