Tbh I appreciate how their voices are actually different, they just speak in the same tone and style but the sound of their voices are different. It's not noticeable but you'll actually realize it if you rewatch clips with them in it like one debbie's voice is deeper, smaller, higher pitched, smoother, etc.

It makes fun of the harsh reality that in other to become "accepted" by social groups or society in general you have to be like someone else and not yourself. Like having to force yourself to like this thing when you know you don't like it and hate this when you know you love it. Let me tell you folks, don't ever let anyone coerce you to be into/become something you don't like just to be awesome. The real awesomeness comes when you are your own identity. After all, everyone else is taken.

I always kinda hoped that the disfigured Debbie would become a more permanent character. Like she would go back to hating the valley kids, but in private would spend time with them and maybe help them out (for a price of course). Their friendship would be shallow and have many strings attached, exactly like Debbie herself
