@@godsman00 on the same feared as john wick himself (also you heard the news? Who in the right mind raid the house of baba yaga and stole his firearms) all I say Luard is Goated
Awesome video. And man the No.1 spot made me have PTSD flashbacks of V. At least D Luard is solid. Can’t wait to see the Rocky interesting ride OTT had.
Was looking forward to this video! ^^ Loved this look back in my favorite clan's history. Luard and Dragruler will always be my favorite Shadow Paladin units 🥰
Just got a chance to watch this. Very solid video! It was also very nostalgic too since I've been around for a while. I remember early G Era being screwed a few games with the PBO stride when I played Lambroke. Resist units didn't play nicely and so my field would by susceptible to the guard restriction. I'm excited to see how they revamp Raging Form next year. It's a very fun deck already and I look forward to new support in general.
Glad to hear it! God that stride can still take games it feels like, thank god we got way more beefy G-Guards than during Stride Gate era lmao. Oh you and me both brother, I'm wondering if they take it the HC direction with extra markers, but perhaps the big thing with the RFD stride is omitting its cost as the card is pretty dang solid outside of that. We'll have to see though!
Ah the ~~golden~~ shadow bois. What absolute menaces they all were. I think they were the original play testers of “let’s throw broken stuff on it and see if it’s broken or not” before Bermudas lol
There is one card I'd love to mention: chainrancor dragon While yes, we have morfessa, chainrancor is arguably the more generic stride and it gave decks that normally don't see play in premium due to them having no on place skills more viability due to it copying all skill they have. Chainrancor also adds a GB3 guard restrict that can be very deadly with certain decks such as V PBO or V claret.
Chainrancor is a fairly strong unit to be sure. I considered him for a while, but it never really interacted with Shadows decks in a noteworthy way. It is a cool option though and maybe one day a deck will rise which makes full use of Chainrancor to an impactful degree. It's too bad Morfessa is so good, really stole Chainrancor's thunder as a finisher 🤣
was watching this video it's a good list but i think you messed up with the chapter system it says dragfall lard not dragfall luard and the v series dragheart luard chapter says dragfall luard instead of dragheart luard and for g dragheart luard it says dragheart lart
A bit of a trivia: PBO in bt5 meta was actually very impactful, and was actually the phantom 4th (no pun intended) of the big three. Which were MLB, DOTE, and CEO.
Unfortunately, there's a couple things wrong with this. First, Tsukuyomi was the main VG of OTT which made it meta, not CEO (which will be relevant distinction in the OTT list funnily enough). Secondly, PBO could be considered a "4th" best deck, that is debatable, but it was miles behind the big 3 which not only necessitated Banlist hits, but also remained relevant well past BT5 format. PBO was hardly anything by comparison, with the boss being held up soley by its crossride bonus and, more importantly, Shadow Paladin's ability to plus. So whatever little success PBO might have had was hardly due to the merit of the boss. It made virtually no impact in the grand scheme of things and was never good enough to be noteworthy in the meta. So sorry to say, but PBO never really had an impact.
Honestly even with the early cross ride it could get with Nightmare Painter it would still end up being the 5th or even 6th deck in most of the "Asia Circuit" era. Golds as well as Scarlet Witch performed much better during the summer of 2012 in Japan (tournament that would later be called the WGP). DOTE, MLB, and Tsukuyomi were the big 3 of that format. PBO didnt even do that well after the big 3 were hit. The tournament after the banlist saw alot of The Blood and Platina.
Real good list. It kinda goes to show that they just couldn't pin point Luards power level till the third try lol. The only real change I would have is switch V PBD for OG PBO or OG Mordred, but I get the resoning. Ott is quite more challenging then this last couple yeah, but the phew times when it was meta it was the best.
I getcha, OG Mordred was pretty dang close tbh but I'm happy it had to be V PBD because it at least got us a *little* more diversity here 😅. OTT is gonna be so freaking funny dude, will be a shorter script I imagine but I've already got the list and it's looking pretty cool ngl.
You should look more into the limit break era, it's such a cool period of time and has loads of interesting things going on inside that people overlook
Oh luard at 10 is outrageous he should be much higher he's the only original strider who was considered or used long into premium unlike he others who only saw use this year after history collection
I explained in my video that Dragfall was more reliable than Dragheart in early premium, being the VG of choice most times even when they were put together (yes some still opted for Dragheart but Fall preformed better and had better matchups in the faster premium metagame). So Dragheart wasn't the only one with Dragfall being the bigger reason for the deck surviving V Powercreep as a strider, which is why that card is at 3rd whereas Dragheart is at 10.
I also ranked Dragheart higher on my list. But you are certainly thinking of Dragfall. Karan Patels winning list from 2019 for instance played Dragfall not Dragheart. Many Luard lists even to this day play Dragfall. Which was ranked much higher as it should be.
Luard so Goated back in G his comeback in D became feared before devs tell he's been nerf, Luard with his ritual is the epitome of "let him cook" meme
Dude is a veritable boogeyman at this point, it's hard to top that legacy 😂

Same, this card was a freaking MENACE lol.
OTT is gonna be funny because there's a very sudden shift from "neat" to "busted", it's hella trippy.
OTT was a wild ride. Felt like the clan was either tier 1 or table 500. No in between lol.

Very nice picks, those are some of the coolest units ever!
Excellent video as always
Thanks brother 💪

top 10 Luards in vanguard
Do gear chronicle next
Luard Is That Type Of Guy Where He’s Like Im About To End This Mans Whole Career Lol 😂
Bro really do be like "I'm you, but better" lmao
Video idea: Most impactful commons in Vanguard history.
Man did not think of that one, but it sounds interesting to research and make a list for so imma keep that in mind.
42 almost 43 min. I see now why it took so long🎉 If it kagero turn, my avatar Overlord must be everywhere😂
Bro another comment literally requested top 10 overlords and tbh that sounds easy 🤣
Your avatar is stacked m8
No lb dragruler pains me 😭😭😭
It's unfortunate, but compared to the monsters on this list its hard to compete 🤣
You should look more into the limit break era, it's such a cool period of time and has loads of interesting things going on inside that people overlook
I actually did a playtest retrospective (not as a video just personally with them) with my playgroup, it's super cool
That's cool, my friends and I mostly just all play limit break. It's really nice and surprisingly cheap compared to what D is right now.
Felt that lol, it feels like playing good old formats with friends is the best fun

Mordred really did kill V didn’t it ? It was seed that become the root of all of its copies in other clans…
Man does that hurt to say…
No kidding 🤣
Yeaaahh, but you now that bendi was banned in premium, right??? So o don't think if PBD could be the better option in premium XD
I don't understand the comment lol, are you telling me bendi was banned? Cuz I mentioned that already lol.
