Tank is undeniably funny to me, but J. Valentine…he low-key the funniest one! 😂 When he repeats what someone says in that high pitched voice, I be SCREAMING!! 😭 Wondering if I’m the only one that feels this way. But either way, great job on this podcast!! This is now one of my favorites to watch! I learn sooo much! Keep up the great work guys!! ❤🥰
Man, this is a great interview with Micah Powell. I love ❤️ his story about his journey ❤️ he's funny as hell 😂 & serious all at the same time ! Tank & J are the best at interviewing artists! Love ❤️ J's laugh 😂😂
His rise is amazing the way it connected with some many main people. When his mom recognized Jazee Phea from baby sitting him from church, took me back.
Every Saturday I get my day started with this podcast.. learning & loving every episode.. This is like my roadmap for all things & authority on R&B.. From the many different artists, songwriters, veterans & even the behind the scenes people (who don't really get the credit & respect they so rightfully deserve).. This podcast really has me being a gift to it all & everything that J & Tank pour into these younger generations & to someone like me really makes me appreciate this more.. Thank you both for always doing this for all of us to learn & grow within our own community that really appreciate it all so very much ❤❤❤
We need Angela Winbush on the podcast. She is one of the most underrated singers, producers and songwriters of the 80s and 90s. And she still sounds amazing.
@@jazzyj904 Ya know what. I will give you that. I do not know who this dude is in the video. Because I do not watch everyone that they feature. But the hosts of this podcast are very good about acknowledging and paying homage to those who have done it before, because they helped lay the ground work for today's artists. And it is for that reason that Angela Winbush should be featured on this podcast. If they're talking to this dude, he must do good work. More power to him. Although I said that she is underrated, do translate that to mean unworthy. It means that the music industry may not have been as fruitful as it should have been to her. And if you have watched as many episodes of this podcast as I have, then you already know that that is often the case.
@@placebosyndrome I can believe it. in his “prince of dance” touch phase, that man danced everywhere and at anytime…lol there were stories about it I think I heard 2 different celebrities speak on it.
Rnb money always introduce us to underrated gems we don't hardly hear about. Micah Powell is one songwriter artist I never heard of ...didn't know he wrote these hits 😯😯
R&B Money Podcast please send prayers up for your supporters in SC, NC, GA, FL & VA as we deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. I’m in SC and it tore us apart with little to no tv coverage about it.
F***in Wit Me and When We are classics in the stratosphere 🔥. RBM bring out the R&B groups, they have singers that don't get enough air time or recognition. Members from New Edition, BBD, Silk, Dru Hill, Kool & The Gang, TLC, SWV, 112, EnVogue, Boyz II Men or the people behind this music.
This was great! Great stories, informative when talking about publishing deals & song percentages, great I ain't saying no names. Shout out to Hamilton High, who gave us Shia Labeouf, Omarion, Nipsey Hussle, Oryan, Kyla Pratt, Robert Richard, the rapper Houston, Elle Varner & Micah Powell.
Awww Micah aka Hacim I wanted to reach out & give you a big hug.🤗. You got it! Just take Tank praise & put it on your mirror to remember. In the words of Viola "You is kind, you is smart, you is important". Keep going
Another great one! His top five favorite songs were amazing. Not the usual picks which I love. Also, Fuckin Wit Me is my favorite Tank song! Along with Nothing On lol. So yes J, y'all should definitely re-release it, with a video, yes please!
The way commissioned is referenced on every episode and is one of tanks biggest influence, they should be up next for an interview that would be amazing. I think Fred Hammond should be up first lol😂❤
Thxxx Bros. Not for just moving music forward. But you really break down the technicals that add up to the finished products we enjoy . . . readily. Lotta science behind it. 💪
I so agree with the fighting part after “I ain’t saying no names”. I’m a 2nd degree black belt & only got into 1 fight in elementary school. I don’t carry that energy either but I can get down if need be. It’s a tool that should be used when needed to protect yourself and not just because you feel like fighting.
Wow! Jhene is my favorite artist and July is my favorite song of hers… never knew this history, I’ve notice most of favorite songs are written by some of the guest on this pod. Love it
One of my fav interviews instantly!! Love Micah and been following him for awhile but never knew his story in its entirety. So happy he was able to share one of my fav songwriters ❤ keep coming with the heat y’all 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awweeee!!! 🥰🥰🥰 The Boys!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾 I used to love them. My six year old self had the cassette and everything. 🫶🏾 Most people don’t mention The Boys or act like they’ve never heard of them. Were they just big on the West Coast??
Love this episode! "These young boys didn't know what to do with it" is my favorite line in F***ing with me. I kept saying, it sounds like a J. Valentine lyric lol But I'm from the South, so I want to say "dem young boys" instead of "these" so bad 😂
Micah sounds like a good dude. He listens. He works hard. He takes his losses and comes back and works harder. Anyone know who he faded with in his "No names" segment?
Tank & J please start posting the artists top 5 responses so we can go back and listen to the songs or artists we’re not familiar with. 🙏
THIS !!!
That’s a great suggestion!!
Good suggestion
Ok, I think I found it on here. Go to SHORTS and they are in there. Forgive me for not remembering that.
I have a playlist on Spotify with the guests Top 5 songs
Tank is the President of HUMBLE YOURSELF and fake it till you make it.

Grew up with him.. He a great dude. Dope singer as well .. Seeing how far he came is crazy how
he hit Tank with a new nic name from early touring days "TINUWINE". the camaraderie is unmatched
I love how tank and J poured into him. It’s always special when people can see your accolades and the best in you. This was so sweet to see.🫶🏾
I didn’t know this guy prior but I hope J and Tank keep him so close as he treasures the mentorship he’s receiving right there.
@@2LadyDi I didn’t either, but I definitely agree. I hope so too. They seem to have a close relationship.
We need Brandy and Ginuwine on the pod.
Need brandy on here!!!

Tank done leveled up his r&b money chain lol WE SEE YOU big dawg 😅💪‼️
"I got fired because GOD knew I wouldnt leave" 😮
That part was soooo real I can relate !! 😮💨
Deep ❤
Tank should do top 5 at his show and whatever 5 songs the audience say, he sing real quick live with the band.
His rise is amazing the way it connected with some many main people. When his mom recognized Jazee Phea from baby sitting him from church, took me back.
TOP FIVE..Brandy again!! Why does she only have one Grammy?
The run Tank did in the, "I Ain't Sayin' No Names" intro was cold! 🥶
