- Make your own mini emulation console as an alternative to overpriced single board computers like the Raspberry Pi (since supplies became limited since Covid). I will show you how to install Batocera on a used Lenovo Thinkcentre Tiny PC for under $150 and how to configure a Bluetooth controller and how to configure PS2 emulation to run smoothly at 3x resolution.
Damn! Thats a steal at that price. Love these mini pcs for emulation
Thanks for the demo and info, have a great day
Hi. Do you still repair these cabinets? I’m in Dallas.
I got that one for 147€ and bought two 16GB RAM modules. Unfortunately the temperature rises quite easily
nice video, super helpfull - thank you for sharing :)
Can you play properly on the switch system?
I did not attempt Switch emulation.
Is that Vice City for PS2 being emulated?
Is there a question in that sentence?
No shit, it was. But yeah, it is the PS2 version of Vice City.
can it handle 4k youtube videos?
I would assume it can, its a Ryzen based PC after all.
Hiya, how does batocera handle the ps3 emulaton with the ryzen 2400ge on that 715q? Thanks!
I did try a few PS3 titles, and the results so far are mixed. On less intense games like NBA Jam (2010) it initially ran too fast, then with a later version of Batocera it works pretty good. God of War 3 is much more intense and requires some tweaks to the settings to make it run smoother. I will likely do another video on PS3, XBox, and Xbox 360 emulation on this box at some point. Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U should run well, but I didn't yet spend a lot of time on those.
I had PS3 (ran fine) and switch(little choppy but not game killer) working on an i5 7500t 16gb ram...but I just picked up 2 thinkcentres i7 32gb ram 1tb ssd for 100 bucks for both!! I'm about to try it on...will update later
