What I liked was the two Marines/soldiers from each side of the battle, I thought they would make it through the battle or at least of one of them would, but to see both of them get killed that took me by surprise but I really liked that to show how much of a meat grinder it was.

@@toxicity6911 It wasn't standard issue, the Marines who landed at Da Nang in March 1965 were issued with the M14, it was only the Air Cavalry who were given the new M16 in August of the same year when they deployed to Vietnam. No M1 Garands.
