Hi Antonio, I first want to congratulate you for your videos! I find your system extremely pleasant to listen to. I just saw in the description that you use a pair of "dynaco A25 SE", but I can't find a "SE" model. I wonder what the "SE" stands for?
Thank you very much! My videos are nothing special, they are made with a very humble Samsung cell phone. The main goal is to share some modifications that I made and maybe demonstrate that you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a very nice system that allows you to enjoy music all day and night. My Dynacos A25SE are a rarity (almost impossible to find), they have 3 alnico drivers and I like them very much. The midrange clarity is exceptional, surpassed only by other alnico drivers you find in the old 15Ohm Goodmans Maxim MKI - which I will regret selling them all my life. The Dynacos sound better than other monitors that I have at home, eg the expensive ProAc SM100. Try the regular Dyanco A25, with a few upgrades on the inside and, for sure, they will deliver great a sound. Keep well.
Good morning! Wow, even through RUclips this sounds absolutely stunning. So realistic and intense, simply unbelievable. Actually I'm using the Lab 12 Dac 1 Reference and put a lot of effort in my system but I'm far away from this performance. Could you maybe suggest any ready built unit that would be sounding as good as this? What is your favorite chip after all (even if "some" other aspects matter...)? Best regards, Michael
Dear Michel: There´s a lot of good sound R2R chips, like AD1865 (the choice of Audio Note in his DACs), PCM56, PCM63 or PCM1074. I prefer the Philips TDA1541 for his natural tones, detailed, sharp and almost analogue sound presentation. Of course to get the best of this pearl you need to do some tweeks and improvements. Try to find an Arcam Black Box (I or II). This DAC is an absolute bargain for what it gives, and very easy to upgrade to a top level. Your Lab 12 Dac1 Reference may not sound bad at all (it have inside a less refined R2R chip i.e. the TDA1543). I presume you are asking for more plankton and refinement in the music secene, that you will find in TDA1541.
@@antoniocruz5714 Dear Antonio, thanks a lot for your kind mail. Yes, I know the PCM 1704 and 63 very well and love those units but there is something very special about the TDA 1541, it seems to be playing even more analog with an even greater punch. I'll head out for one of those Arcam units. Kind regards, Michael
@@delicate_hifi Nothing to thank! You´re more than welcome! In my previous comment I forgot to mention the current AYA DAC, made by one of the biggest gurus of TDA1541 - Pedja Rogic. Take a look at: www.audialonline.com/blog/s5-dac/
@@delicate_hifi у вас тоже очень хороший dac, я думаю вам нужно искать Хороший усилитель мощности, и убрать лишние устройства из линии (что то типа pre.amp) если это возможно
Hi: Thank you so much for your kind words. Please take a look at the description. I haven´t nothing special, unless than capacitors upgrade and 2 shunt power regulators for feed the TDA1541A. Be in mind that´s a very nice sounding DAC, that needs not much more than some basic upgrades to give great music. Cheers.
TDA1543 is a cheaper version of the TDA1541, so the latter is much better. However, if you put together a bunch of TDA1543's playing together, you get a huge bass and a very clean and analog sound. The thumb rule is that you put many of them together to reduce the decoder errors.
TDA1541 dac chip sounding very natural
One of the most (if not the most) natural sounding DAC chip - and I've heard all the best 2R2 chips ever made in commercial products.
Nice!!!
Mais uma peça a tocar maravilhosamente bem...incrível...Parabéns pelo trabalho!

Thank you!
amazing sound.... Is there a guide for the upgrade?
Thank you! f you own one of these DACs and want to upgrade it, please contact me. I'll let you know what has the most impact on the sound. Cheers.

Hi, great sounding system, can I ask what mods you have done to the digidac, what Mundorfs did you put in? Thanks

@@antoniocruz5714 is the 1541A NOS on this?
@@johnshore3095 In this video the TDA1541A is running in OS mode (as asking by the owner), but NOS is much better, if well implemented.
