Those models there were the staples to me just built to work and get the job done. I had one similar from same era but it wasn't a garden tractor but had that same body it had the older vtwin Brigg's
@MurphyMower I ended up buying it for 400$, it was in good condition besides the rusty mower deck but I'm going to use it for tilling and plowing etc. Didn't have any oil smoke coming the exhaust and the 6 speed shifted smooth
Those are some nice machines , a very good work horse .

I’m going to look at a 95 gt6000 with the 19.5hp kosher tomorrow for 550 obo, hopefully it runs good

I think everyone has a craftsman at some point in their life. They were affordable, easy to work on and dependable. Just my opinion 🙂
For the price point they’re very good machines
Do u Kno what size the drive belt is I have the same year garden tractor and I love it
I do not, but you can Google the serial number and find it online fairly easy
