Funny how Greece did moderately well until the countries in the final began to vote, when they jumped right into the foray.

I in the UK voted 12 points for Switzerland - Vanilla Ninja singing ‘Cool Vibes’. After they didn’t win I bought all their albums and became a big fan. They sing in English. Top band with the incredible singer Lenna Kuurmaa. One of the best live singers in the World today. I suggest you listen their song here!
Interesting to see how much the lead fluctuated this year. Sure, there was a lot of neighbour appreciation as was per usual in the all-televote results, but the results were still freshly diverse. However, once the countries that took part in the final started voting, the dissonance ended and Greece, who had kept out of sight up until that point, skyrocketed ahead. (Btw, Cheryl sure was charming.)

WHAT THE HELL? How could a commentator in a civilised country like th UK call a whole nation gypsy? That is just shameful, how he believes he is superior than us. I'm really in a shock.
Thats true but what annoys me about people complaining about the UK-Ireland pact is that serbia can rake in points from over 6 different neighbours and award 7-12 points ALL to nieghbours and we get criticised for 1 country...
All the voting procces this comentator was saying like " ONLY NOT GRANNY " or " Oh , granny ones again ? "
I think Moldova had THE BEST SONG IN ITS HYSTORY , and by the way it was their first time ! SHAME ON YOU !
@MrPonyFucker 1. well now u know how we feel when balkan countries give each other points based on country rather than song 2. he is irish so maybe that's why he was happy 3. he doesnt commentate for eurovision anymore
He said "Don't give it to granny", he didn't want Ireland to give 12 points to Moldova, because back then Moldovan group Zdob si Zdub included grandmother as its member.

I think it is important to highlight that he always criticised neighbour voting but never comments on Ireland always voting for the UK! Additionally, he is Irish not British (like the new commentator ironically) so he obviously doesn't represent our culture

the UK doesn't get criticised because unlike Serbia/Croatia et al; and Greece/Cyprus, it's never constant. But if Serbia had Jemini years ago, Bosnia would still give 12!
The british commentator says that he is worried about united kingdom voters. If someone is rude about his country what we can expect for the other countries?

Terry Wogan was so bitter! He makes everything into a political "everybody hates the UK" thing. Maybe if the BBC had just entered a half-decent song we might have scored better...

This british commentator is very curious, laughs and criticize when some neighboring countries votes each other, but when Ireland gives 8 points to UK then all is OK. I call it english hipocresy buuugh!!!

I am from the UK and I hated this commentator, I much prefer the one we have now, I feel like i should appologise from the UK for anything this rude man has said as clearly if we give 12 points to greece then we liked their song, I think it is wrong especially for him to criticise the judgement of his own country.

-You must bring respect to the others countries (Hungary and Moldova), like they do with your country, that had the worst entry in my opinion.

look at the votes after Poland’s and before Hungary. They set up a voting order so all the non qualified countries voted first. Poland is the last non qualifier, and Hungary was the first finalist. According to that, all the non-qualifiers pushed the qualifying countries ahead, that’s why top 6 is made up of the semifinal qualifiers, Malta is 7th and Greece is 8th, both with automatic qualification, so it’s fair to say they did some bit of trolling here and there hahah
What do you say about your Eurovision entries, which every year finish in the last positions? What do you say about the nation which handed Cyprus to Turkey? Cyprus is Greek and will be Greek...
