I was brought up believing to be a Christian means to be Christ like. Helping those less fortunate, celebrating the minorities, speak out against those who use their money and power to take advantage of the poor, you know socialism.

Easter is on the first Sunday, after the first full moon, after the first day of spring. Based on the moon, that is why it is never the same Sunday every year.
Easter celebrations of rebirth, renewal, rabbits, painted eggs and egg hunting is lifted entirely from the Germanic pagan holiday of Ostara. Ostara is celebrated on the Spring Equinox (1st day of spring which can be as early as March 19th or as late as March 22nd). Christianity just had to add the twist of being after the 1st full moon of the Equinox and being a Sunday which is why it "wanders" from mid March to mid April from year to year.
Most of the so called Easter celebrations are all from the pagan religion. Even down to those Easter eggs

I am a secular humanist. I spent yesterday with my Hindu neighbors celebrating Holi. It featured food, music, colored powders which they applied to everyone’s faces, and joy. Lots and lots of joy. None of the republicans you mentioned or any, I dare say, find that kind of joy in their Christianity.

My son asked me why Easter was so early this year and I said oh it changes because they know it was a Sunday but our calendars have changed so there’s a religious formula or something.
"Well, son, it changes because early christians knew it would be easier to sell their schtick to pagans if they overlapped their stories onto pagan celebrations which were based on equinoxes and moon cycles."
The date changes because the 13 month lunar Hebrew calendar is used.to calculate it.
Easter Sunday is the first Sunday following the first full moon after the spring equinox. The spring equinox can occur on 19th, 20th or 21st March, the first full moon after that date can vary by up to 27 days and the first Sunday may be anything up to 6 days after that. If the spring equinox happens to be 19th march and it happens to be a full moon and is also a Sunday that is when Easter will be. It could also be that the equinox is not until 21st March, the first full moon could be 27 days later and the first Sunday after that could be another 6 days later.
Insane is the operative word for Trump.

How Easter Day is determined. The simple standard definition of Easter is that it is the first Sunday after the full Moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox.

We planned and started Trans Day of Visibility over a decade ago, just so it would fall on Easter in 2024 to mess with L' Orange Menace's political campaign. It was a bit hard because Christians keep moving Easter around so as not to fall on Passover.
