Hi! When I saw that pig, I was like, Whoa! I have that pattern!! (& just the pattern!) I bought it on Etsy from RetroPinsAndPatterns and she has the 3: Champion Pig, Champion Sheep & Champion Cow. It is from Better Homes and Gardens May/June 1992. Sweet videos-hope to see your mom, but I get it! xo
I found your flosstube channel yesterday and am so happy I did. My tastes are very similar to yours. I look forward to following your progress. Today I’m stitching on Hannah Campbell by Hands Across the Sea Samplers.

Woohoo- aren’t the Hollyberry Farms amazing! Excited to get more stitches added to her- hope you start yours soon. Thanks for being here - have a wonderful weekend and see you in two weeks. 🫶🏻
The pig that you stitched when you were 12 looks like a familiar pattern. I think it may have been one of a series in Just Cross Stitch magazine or similar periodical. I think I have it in my stash from back in the day. Now I’m REALLY curious. You did a great job on it! I’m really enjoying your floss tube videos. You do beautiful work!
Hi Becky, another friend said it came from Cross Stitch and Country Craft Magazine in July/August 1992. Do you have that one? I would love to finish the set of animals. She said a sheep and cow were the other animals. Thank you for being here and so happy you are loving it. :)
@@nestofpetals Oh that would be great if you could find the rest of them! I’m sure I don’t have the whole series, but I’m pretty sure I have one of them. I don’t remember which one, but I will check, and you will be welcomed to it. I will get back to you as soon as I dig through that stack. 😊
I loved all of your projects especially Every Opening Flower. I'm planning on starting that very soon and seeing your start makes me even more inspired! Your old cross stitch of the pig was in the Cross Stitch & Country Crafts Magazine July/August 1992 edition. I cut out the chart from the magazine and have it in my collection LOL. The designer’s name isn’t mentioned but it was one of 3 animals I. The Country Champions set, issued in 3 magazines 😊
Hi Angela- omg, that is amazing you know which magazine. I just googled it- is it the one with the raggedy Anne doll on the cover? What were the other 3 animals - curious to if I wanted to do all three of them 😂 thanks for being here and sharing your knowledge ! 🙌🏼
@@nestofpetals I’m not sure about the cover, but that sounds about right. I do remember seeing a raggedy Anne cover. The other animals are a cow and I believe a ram/sheep.
I fully support your mom joining you on a Flosstube video. I understand being camera shy, but the cross stitch community is so nice, there will only be positivity. It’s wonderful that the two of you share the love of cross stitch. My mom was a cross stitcher and she was the one who taught me. She died a few years ago, so I treasure the memories I have of us stitching together. The Halloween project bag your mom made for you is beautiful!
Hi Beth- thanks for joining me today. I will send her your encouragement- I hope to get her to come and join me soon.🤞🏼I love that we were taught by our moms- my deepest condolences for you on your loss. 🙏🏼 Thanks for the love on the project bag- I’m obsessed with it and just love taking it out when I’m stitching the Halloween at Holly berry farm 🎃Happy stitching hun!
