COTO MINES MASINLOC ZAMBALES

The Coto Chromium Mine, located in Zambales, Philippines, was initially found in 1925. It was classified as a medium-sized mine in terms of its production output. The primary mineral extracted from this site is chromite, while the associated waste material consists mostly of magnetite, antigorite, and olivine. The mineral deposit spans an impressive length of 600 meters (1,968 feet), width of 300 meters (984 feet), and thickness of 80 meters (262 feet). The surrounding rock formation in this region is known as harzburgite.
