Great job ~ Thanks for the tips. The next time, I'd like for you to wear clear safety glasses & leather gloves while operating the wire brush drill. I'd be happy to buy you a pliers to hold the parts while operating the wire brush. ~ God bless the planet.
The air pressure bleeds off this is normal, plus when your parked and the truck is running your suspension is not moving so normally it is a little lower.
thanks for sharing, my airbags were not inflated at all, so the suspension is at all the way lower position, does your truck has same problem before you replace the leveling valve? thanks
Could be , if you do not hear air from anywhere, what you can do is get a spray bottle , like a glass cleaner bottle and fill it with water and add dish washing detergent to it , shake it up . Anywhere you spray it that air is leaking, you will now see bubbles forming . This works well .
Sounds like it to me . I would check that the linkage never just popped off , could just be a simple fix . Mostly the valve needs replaced, which is still not a hard job . Let me know what you find .
A simple way to check it is the the linkage and push the lever on the valve up and down , this will raise and lower the truck , and if not there you go .
I used new fittings when I replaced mine leveling valve. They were the main cause of my leaks.
That happens a lot

lol 😂 thanks
Extremely informative 😅
Thank you I really try my best !!!
Why didnt you order new quick disconnect fittings ? How much at freightliner does it cost to replace leverler system ? Thanks for posting.
The old ones just needed cleaned , normal around a $$100 but the cost changes , so I have payed $60 also
keep on trucking
My suspension is lowering during the night time when my truck is off. Do you know what is the issue? Thanks

Well a leveling valve can screw up in a few different ways. Like not airing up , over airing up , blowing air out , ect
Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you for watching!!!!!
👍thanks for sharing
Your welcome !
Thank you
Your very welcome !!!
Is this the same information for the one behind the cab, for the cab air bags?
Same principle
Thk u.
@Starkeyfamilyfixing the one that I had ordered was the wrong one. They said for a freightliner, but not for a columbia etc.
@@midnightpassion43 I hate it when I order something and it comes in wrong.
Every morning my air bags had not air, do you think is because of this valve? I have a freightliner cascadia thanks

There are so Mary places that can leak air , this is the easiest way to find the leaks that you can’t hear. Let me know what you find !
After unloading a load or setting tractor brakes it seems like it’s leveling slowly does that mean it’s the leveling valve?
Not really , my truck and trailer are normally slow at leveling.
My suspension keep lowering itself and raising itself up every minute? Could this valve be the problem? No leaks. 2015 cascadia

Good Stuff
Thanks !!!
I’m surprised you loos them out without braking them as they are rusted
I got lucky
Use wire wheel to clean out threads
We didn't see the part where you had to put in the golf tee or the small pin to adjust the level.
It was unneeded, my setup did not require this , most do not require this do to the linkage is not adjustable on most setups
@@Starkeyfamilyfixing oh okay 👌
How do you know when it’s not working?
A simple way to check it is the the linkage and push the lever on the valve up and down , this will raise and lower the truck , and if not there you go .
My air bags will over fill some times
If it’s bad that can happen too
Repeatedly going bad
I have had this happen to me, sometimes the parts stores sale a cheap grade product and pass it off as a factory replacement.
