You could’ve made $20k over. These cars are selling at $20k and even $30k over. I’ve seen when dealers get involved in situations like this and the owner only makes $5k to $10k over while the dealer gets $20k to $30k over. It’s just amazing what people will spend on this car.
My deer hunting buddy got a 1970's vette from his kids for his retirement present a couple years back. One of them took him out to eat while they stuck it in his garage. His kid drove him to the garage and didn't open the door until the whole family came out to see his suprise. He got the engine all fixed up and drove it once last year after his quadruple bypass and he got walking enough to go hunting with me if I hauled his cart up so this summer he is gonna drive that baby all over the countryside. The engine is all fixed up so next winter or this spring he is gonna get his friend to paint it up. He also has his dads old pickup truck in the garage in mint condition after the wiring set fire to the front end. The truck looks brand new now and he keeps it up off the pavement. And I thought you actually rolled/flipped your brand new car.
I agree. I hate people like this. Greedy bastards out out to make a buck. They ruined the Corvette market. I have owned Corvettes since 1969 and I can't stand people like this guy. These people are not Corvette lovers. I am and always will be. These people turn my stomach. Anybody that agrees with what this guy did can go to hell.
Excuse me, but... WTF??? I ordered a 2020 last March, and had to re-order it as a 2021 in July. I'm still waiting, as it is still at 1100 status after 11 months! Not expected to deliver until May or June, 2021! So, tell me, GM; WTF?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
That’s not a GM thing that’s your dealer. Always make sure your dealer has allocations before you order. If you would have ordered from a Top 2 dealer like MacMulkin you would have had your car months ago.
@@CarGuysRule82 You may be right, but I contacted the #1 Corvette dealer in the country (Kerbeck) back last Feb, and they told me they were no longer taking any 2020 orders, and that, with a $1000 deposit, they could put me on the pre-order list for a 2021. I thought that was just stupid, as this was even before the first 2020 had shipped! I checked my local dealers, and all but one were charging a $10K premium, so I went with the local dealer who promised to sell for MSRP. Unfortunately, and unbeknownst to me at the time, they're not a big 'vette dealer, as you said, so allocations are low. My mistake, I guess. Live and learn.
