One thing you might have missed, or i'm wrong, i've seen some info that the horizontal spray is random, so when it starts going "left and right" on the spray, it will be random, no point of trying to compensate that, it even indicates you when it's in the random part of the spray by dissapearing the top line of your crosshair. But you need it to be visible, his is'nt in the video.
the Phantom can also be interesting when your team won the first round and the opposing team doesn't have enough credits for the heavy armor. It pushes your 1 tap potential to 30m
If you know crosshair placement and basic bloom in games like cs you will do fine on this, I came from overwatch and I'm doing very well in game without having touched cs games
I'm gonna try your keybinds. one thing I was struggling with was swapping between abilities and my gun..but I think your abilities being binded to mouse might help that

If you don’t have a background playing cs. Valorant and games like it can be really frustrating to learn because how fast the time to kill is but my advice is to practice keeping crosshairs head level, flicking, and spray control and you’ll become more comfortable taking gunfights confidently
I'm rediculously good at the practice range in all versions of it. But in practice it's not that good. All because I am not confident in doing it in sudden situations. I am not used to the game 100% in map knowledge. Team rotations. callouts, default pushes. All that's came with time and I'm popping off as I normally do. And clearly I'm hitting above chest now. Clapping vheeks and not just hitting legs worried about the kick haha
For me, I have difficulty controlling recoil. I've found that the guardian is a gun that fits me because it has lower recoil than, say, the vandal. Honestly just try out different guns so you can use something that you're most comfortable with mid fight, it could help
LOVE to see a video like this with tons of useful info! Some stuff I know is still good refresher. So many guides talk about crosshair placement and the same recycled content so it is great to see some useful info. TY for creating content instead of farming subs like some VALORANT creators =)
Correct. I turned this off when he said crouching was good. It’s a bad habit in this game and will get you head shotted More often than not. Do not crouch, unless you’re positive you have the kill.
Something you probably didn't notice is the spray on this game with all the weapon after 8-10 bullets is totaly random, i tried every single weap and it's all the time the same. The game still in beta, so let's see if it still randoms after all
When you're counter-strafing aren't you supposed to strafe the opposite direction before you shoot. Completely stopping you, and giving you full accuracy.
i wish most fps games had the same crosshairs that valorant has. they're pretty precise. i also rly the weapon loadout and practice mode. i'd like them to work on the settings, specifically the sensitivity settings. i can't find the perfect sensitivity speed and everything i try feels very off.
@@SahiPie The Valorant crosshair style is straight from CS. You can change your CS crosshair quite easily. There are custom maps out there that allow you to design one, or straight up pick the predesigned ones from a load of pro-players.
^ What this means is if you strafe peak, stop, and get shot, you have a smaller chance to get behind cover due to the fatigue when you shot. Counter-strafing give you that slight chance of recovery if need be. Also as PVPX said people will most likely be expecting the slow peak.
I didn't play a single hour of csgo but i think its common sense to aim at head height in all games. People aiming at the ground are just bad in general.
Crouching is mostly used to force the enemy to adjust from their crosshair placement. You don't want to crouch-peak and pre-fire every corner but it can work sometimes if you know where the enemy is. Other than that, you can jump crouch onto boxes or squeeze into vents with crouch xD
@@gunsepsi2852 fundamentally its the same. Mechanics are all the same, if anything a little easier because counter strafing is super easy and spraying is a easier overall. The differences are learning how to play the maps and obviously abilities. But alot of game sense and mechanics translate well.
I mean first 3 bullets always you should go for head and then move on body shoots, that is how i do it, so you should start by crouching and stand up later
@@GLaurence1997 my reaction time is 182 ms i'm pretty sure if i stop by clicking opposite button to the way i go and i will tap ctrl and stand up i am going to win most of fights, bcs my head will be moving the entire time
@@magieenvtuber9783 That's on the shitty reaction test site though. Old bastards like me are still capable of 250ms and it doesn't translate into the game. Valorant has a hidden MMR so you match as the favourites or the underdogs, rather than equal. You are doing alright against people in a similar skill group. Should that skill group change, your tactic is likely to not hold up well. Crouching is mostly for the panic engagement when you've been caught out in the open and need to go all out to survive. Otherwise, you have no movement and will die to the first person you don't instantly kill. Finally, the fact that you fire three bullets before going for the body doesn't sound good. The average CS player will do a pull down burst of a few rounds, then reset and burst again if you aren't dead. Essentially eliminating any scenario where they don't have to spray.
Crosshair moves if you shoot to show recoil spread change or when you move to show inaccuracy if you want to start shooting. Typically it's best to not use this because you know this info already (learn spray patterns / know to stand still while shooting)
The end part is interesting between the vandal and the phantom bc all the devs use the phantom and back it over the vandal BUT they also love the vandal exactly where it’s at and want people to use it
one thing i struggle with is just crosshair placement on uneven or elevated ground i have no idea where the head level is and i have no idea how to learn it :I
A lot of it is just practise and experience my dude, eventually you’ll have had enough engagements in the hot areas of the map and kinda just know where ppl like to peek
PVPx whats your DPI and in game sensitivity out of curiousity? and how do you feel about the OP vs AWP? I played a few years of CS and it feels so much more clunkier as if they skill capped the rifle. Flicks aren't as responsive and your shot will end up closer to where you started from unless you purposely delay your click.
im pretty sure the sprays for most if not all guns are random ish after the first 8-9 shots so i feel like its better to just reset your sprays after that
When talking about the spray pattern and the recoil control, the devs said that after a certaina ammount of bullets there is no recoil pattern , and the shots are random.

That’s not the only reason someone would counter strafe
In cs it was confirmed that it gave you a peak advantage, that’s probably why we think it’s the same on valorant... idk tho
is there a velocity graph ingame to proof this ?
So for counter strafing if you went left to right, do you hold d and then left go when you press a. Or do you keep d held while you press down a?
Let go and press the other
this game didnt even come out and we already have "pros" funny stuff
It's because the game mechanics are very similar to CS.
Yep
Life really does suck for you
Best video I’ve come across so far. Thank you👍🏽
Imagine all these non cs players first time play be aiming on the floor 😂
nxthxniel24 all the cs players getting 30 kills on fortnite kids playing this
Every game in valorant i see some of this guys 😂.
P.s I`m csgo player so every game have 17+ kills.
Feels bad for the non cs guys dude for real some of my friends came from overwatch ans even Minecraft and they know absolutely nothing dude
Never played cs in my life, it's my first fps game and I'm legit crushing anyone on my path 😂 Just sayin'
I didn't play a single hour of csgo but i think its common sense to aim at head height in all games. People aiming at the ground are just bad in general.
Is it better to crouch or stand when shooting?
I just need to find a way to convert my csgo awp sens to valorant.
@@fu7l996 hes talking zoom sensitivity not standard, I've seen people talking about it and it seems as if people dont know how to convert it yet
Same bro same
Nice name
Crouching is mostly used to force the enemy to adjust from their crosshair placement. You don't want to crouch-peak and pre-fire every corner but it can work sometimes if you know where the enemy is. Other than that, you can jump crouch onto boxes or squeeze into vents with crouch xD
first tip: play csgo and you'll be fine
I agree, game has the same mechanics, u only have to worry about the abilities.
This is not like cs go lol... a lot more different
@@gunsepsi2852 there is a reson why cs players are already dominating this game. Current and retired.
@@gunsepsi2852 fundamentally its the same. Mechanics are all the same, if anything a little easier because counter strafing is super easy and spraying is a easier overall. The differences are learning how to play the maps and obviously abilities. But alot of game sense and mechanics translate well.
*Go this comment on top!*
i really learnt something today...thanks very much😍😍😍
Imagine getting a Valorant drop.
A b0te
Lol, everyone wants it what do you expect 🤣
Oliver Joseph took me 2 days of doing nothing i just left my pc running on a stream for 11 hours and like a day and a half later i got it
I got it :3
I mean first 3 bullets always you should go for head and then move on body shoots, that is how i do it, so you should start by crouching and stand up later
Wrong, if u crouch as soon as u see someone I'm 100% doming you
@@GLaurence1997 my reaction time is 182 ms i'm pretty sure if i stop by clicking opposite button to the way i go and i will tap ctrl and stand up i am going to win most of fights, bcs my head will be moving the entire time
nah dude, crouch fire anything and youre getting domed. its so much more difficult to control spray too, what you said makes 0 sense
You can tell who is a CS player by looking at their crosshair, CS players wouldn't use a dynamic crosshair lol
Early on in VALORANT dynamic crosshairs are extremely helpful to new players who didn't play CS
@@Jxmo_ of course, that's why I said that
what's dynamic crosshair? sorry for dumb question but i never actually played cs
Crosshair moves if you shoot to show recoil spread change or when you move to show inaccuracy if you want to start shooting.
Typically it's best to not use this because you know this info already (learn spray patterns / know to stand still while shooting)
A few pros use dynamic, idk why tho lol
The end part is interesting between the vandal and the phantom bc all the devs use the phantom and back it over the vandal BUT they also love the vandal exactly where it’s at and want people to use it
You don't really have to counter strafe in this game. Unlike cs.
Is there some commands like in CS where you can see your velocity etc? Some of those things in CS really help when practicing.
Volarants gonna get all the silver csgo players lmao
one thing i struggle with is just crosshair placement on uneven or elevated ground
i have no idea where the head level is and i have no idea how to learn it :I
A lot of it is just practise and experience my dude, eventually you’ll have had enough engagements in the hot areas of the map and kinda just know where ppl like to peek
Imagine calling yourself a pro when you play the beta for a few days
TwitchCrows cloud 9 tho
PVPx whats your DPI and in game sensitivity out of curiousity? and how do you feel about the OP vs AWP? I played a few years of CS and it feels so much more clunkier as if they skill capped the rifle. Flicks aren't as responsive and your shot will end up closer to where you started from unless you purposely delay your click.
Oh no, aim tips coming from a junk main? Hmm not so sure about this.
He gave aim tips early in the video...?
@@triv4555 I think he meant to put a comma, like "Oh no, aim tips...". I get confused by illiteracy like this too, though... xD
Wadaya Meane you’re probably right lol.
Use your commas, kids
@@Lewzyd sry BB ur a QT fxd it 4 u so easy to reed -_0
@@TheSubieFan You were just wrong, though, that's all there was to it... ^^,
Was here for this during stream :)
im pretty sure the sprays for most if not all guns are random ish after the first 8-9 shots so i feel like its better to just reset your sprays after that
When talking about the spray pattern and the recoil control, the devs said that after a certaina ammount of bullets there is no recoil pattern , and the shots are random.
If ur using phantom or vandal etc., ur shots will go up and then left to right. Which means that there IS a recoil pattern
