Dave Filoni needs to be president of Lucasfilm
Absolutely Studios No because then he can't be directing the animation. He also needs a bit more experience with live action even though the Mandalorian was fantastic so far
Here here, he understands the fans and the franchise and that's what makes a good leader
I love that basically twenty years after first wearing the makeup, Ray can still just tap into that physicality of Maul, the Faces, the movement, the almost beast-like way of fighting.
Can we just get dave to be in charge of star wars he knows what he's doing instead of darth Kathleen Kennedy
The Retro Gamer so tru
Just because the guy is a great director, creative lead and whatnot doesn't mean he knows how to run a company. That's just not how that works at all.
@@jaspertaylor2810 He should at least have creative control even if he's not President of LucasFilm.
Filoni is a fantastic creative, but he's not a business person like Kennedy. You can't have someone who doesn't have much experience running a business put in charge of a huge organization like Lucasfilm. Regardless of whether or not you think Kennedy is a good fit for Star Wars, Filoni can't become Lucasfilm President. But I do think Filoni should be promoted to a chief creator in all of Star Wars.
True
episode 9 and 10 of s7 have 100% been the best two episodes in all of the clone wars so far, dave filoni you are doing an amazing job
Dave 4 Prez
The animation is on a level is have never seen before, it really shows that they used mo-cap.
As a big VFX / Animation fan and Maul / Ahsoka fan this episode is pure gold.
That 1:1 screen of the fight with 3D models is just so beautiful.
Star Wars tv: Let's honor this legacy character by combining both actors into 1 awesome performance
Star Wars movies: eh
What you mean they did it in solo
@@thesenate8079 all he did was stand up. The way in clone wars captures his movement and expresses the character physically. They said it in the video, they capture Ray's fighting style, and something that's unique to him as a martial artist. He uses a lot of spins and if you watch closely he always uses a double overhand grip. Maul never uses a double overhand except when he fought Obi-Wan on Tatooine in animation
I've been watching this show since I was a kid, and seeing how much effort these people are putting into the last season means so much to me.
Oh my god One More Episode of SW: The Clone Wars with Disney+
Two more episodes not one. I can't wait!
This Lightsaber duel has more emotion and passion in it than the recent live action ones. This is my Star Wars :D
Davi Filoni knows what he's doing
Dave Filoni is the new George Lucas!
We must protect him from Disney!
My childhood is coming full circle and I will definitely cry when this masterpiece of a show comes to an end
First
You are
Ray Park and Lauren Mary Kim did such an amazing job!! The fight was amazing, it was such a breathtaking moment. Also, the voice actors and the whole production did an amazing job as always. I love The Clone Wars with all my heart.
So many passion invested into this show. Dave and Lucas working together is the best thing ever! Bringing Maul s actor back for this scene is so awesome!
I love how enthusiastic all these guys are.
4:00.....this is proper ending indeed. As a fan who grew up with clone wars I cannot be more happier than this. It was spectacular and I cant wait for the last 2 episodes. This is the Star Wars I love. Thank you
OH my gosh. Thank you so much to everyone who made this happen so we could see the behind the scenes work. You are ALL appreciated!!! This was some of the best Star Wars!
something about seeing Ray Parks years later @1:35 is so refreshing
This is my favorite lightsaber fight ever, its how the prequel fights should have been, with clean cinematography and choreography that looks intense and not like a dance, great lighting and INCREDIBLE acting! Props to the clone wars crew, thank you for giving us the best lightsaber fight EVER!!!
Filoni was FLEXING that unlimited budget with ray park and Linda Kim mocap
When I watched this episode I noticed right away how fluid the movements were of Maul and Ahsoka. I was amazed how it made both characters feel actually alive, instead of what I had previously seen and expected in animated characters. I was so moved by this episode that I immediately commented on Twitter right after it was over, then I watched it again. Thank you to Dave Filoni, and to everyone involved for the hard work you put into this. It was so unexpected and absolutely worth it.
Dude Ray Park is a legend
I not only absolutely admire the commitment and creativity, but the choreography in fighting as well 😄
This last season of Clone Wars has been an absolute treat so far, especially this lightsaber duel. They guys who made this all possible have done amazing work. 💪
I love that they used mocap. I never quite got into the cartoony, choppy style of Clone Wars duels, so it was a really nice change of pace to see these incredibly fluid moves.
Clone wars and the mandalorian are the best things to come out of Star Wars in decades. Dave Filoni should be running everything
This whole 4 part finale has felt nothing short of a full on movie. I’m loving it and at the end of each episode I’m sitting there already waiting for next Friday. Awesome stuff guys.
I'm so Happy that this Show got to come back for One Last Season!!!
It's My Favorite Show Ever and This Last Arc was just so Incredible!!!!!!
Also This Lightsaber Fight Is By Far THE BEST Lightsaber Fight In The Entire Show and One Of The Best In All Of Star Wars!!! The Fact that They Got Ray Park to Come Back and Do The MoCap for Maul Is Amazing! The Combination of Ray Park's Incredible Movement and Sam Witwer's Phenomenal Voice Acting Is Just Perfect!!!
that duel was by far the best animated ANYTHING i’ve seen in A LONG LONG TIME
I am stunned by how all this has come together, lead to this moment, where we get such an amazing duel with such realistic motion within The Clone Wars. It has become one of my favourites, and this behind the scenes look at the mo-cap fighting makes me appreciate the work that went into it, and the fact that this is Ray Park as Maul for one (hopefully not) last duel.
Amazing work Dave Filoni, Ray Park, Lauren Mary Kim, Sam Witwer, Ashley Eckstein, and every single person who worked on season 7 and overall every person that worked on clone wars show...this ending feels amazing, the tension of Order 66 is coming with every single minute and just the visuals, dialogue, characters, fights...everything feels amazing...this fight truly felt like a prequel duel from movies...feel free to use motion capture for any other epic fight as well, it really paid off ;)
It's amazing to see the love and passion that is put into Clone Wars, it's heartbreaking knowing it's the end, but I know Dave and the others will come out with something equally, if not better than Clone Wars. GG Dave and I love you man
