If we all have 25%-15% European DNA it should be quite easy to find these ancestors through genealogy, I had a very fair skin grandmother but, when I asked my mom if her grandfather/mother was white she laughed and said we don't have a white person in our family, her mother was just born melanin deficient. Now that i'm older, I've seen plenty of melanated people give birth to a melanin deficient children, the mutation that causes this is present in all our people and it's this same mutation that is wrongly labeled " European ". What DNA strains are exclusive to Europeans? There are none.
Professor Gates is so intelligent, but he's also honest and down-to earth.
An awesome human being!
Thanks for posting this :))
Dr. Gates is an estimable man. Love his Roots show.
There are not enough Henry Louis Gates' presentations on the net. Thanks for posting this one.

I enjoy listening to this man
Wonderful, thanks for sharing.
Okay, but where is the question period? I hear that was the most interesting part of this presentation.
