Thanks for the video! Awesome shots I really enjoyed. I use to dive often and have my PADI Rescue Cert but due to ilness I can no longer dive. I had taken a long break and as soon as I was just about to start diving again I was forced to scratch it. I love the bunny habitat.. That is a great idea you have to kepp it from chewing up things and getting into things it shouldn't. I had two for many years and living in Arizona we allowed them inside during the summer days and know how hard it is.
@kmike3 The wide lens attaches to the housing, which is from Ikelite (the Flip underwater housing on the website doesn't work for scuba if you go below 20-30ft). I got the housing from my dive shop, and found the wide lens on craigslist.
@geckoboy77 Heya. The Ikelite housing is rated to either 150 or 180ft, so well beyond the limits of recreational diving. Flip does sell an underwater housing that is rated to 15-30ft or so, I think that one is more suited for snorkeling or watersports.
@Nail56 Thanks! That's our real bottom time. We're diving doubles so we have enough gas, and it is a long dive but we always pre-plan and ensure that we're well within NDL/MDL. Diving with 32% nitrox helps on that end as well.
@d5kenn Appreciate yr feedback, however i already found out hows the sound quality frm smone vid, the muffled wasnt that bad to compare olympus waterproof cam. I think i can bare with that. This is why im intrested with the case, frm yr vid looks perfect, flip is inexpensive too. i'll get mine this few days time so im kinda excited! thx again man!
@leyvaordaz Yep I'm using the Flip housing. What problems have you hard about it? It the same mold as for all their P&S camera cases as far as I know. The only issue I've had is the buttons sticking a bit at depth, but I think I just need to use a bit silicon lube. Never had an issue with leaks or anything.
@jonnylee76 I'm actually using an ikelite housing for the flip, that is rated to 200ft, though the deepest I've gone with it is 100. I'm not sure i would use the 30ft flip case for anything other than snorkeling or surface swimming :)
is that really Flip ultraHD ? amazing...i already ordered with underwater case too but im not really aspect this good! but im just hoping u say smthg -want to hear the audio quality

hey are you using the case offered by flip cause ive read a lot of horror stories about this one, did you made any preparations for the case appart from o-ring lube or something. Its a great video
@dlong4000 Hi! I'm not using the 30ft Flip housing, rather a third-party housing by Ikelite (which unfortunately costs almost double what the Flip camcorder itself cost ~$250). I haven't seen the Flip housing but I doubt you could use it for Scuba. Seems more appropriate for pool/watersports/snorkeling
@leyvaordaz Thanks for the information. I normally dive with the camera to about 70-80 fsw, and very regularly bring it down to 100fsw, and have never had a leak. When closing the case, I always look around the clear housing to ensure that the o-ring seal is secure (I have rabbits, so fur and hair gets everywhere). Every once in a while (maybe every 10-20 dives) I will lube the o-ring lightly with silicone grease.
@Haliqhamal The sound doesn't come out well through the underwater housing. You can hear the breathing through the regulator, but it's pretty muffled, and above water you definitely want to take the camera out of the housing to get decent sound.
@jonnylee76 No video lights (they add a lot of bulk, but they would definitely help with the close-range lighting. The wide angle does add a lot, but it is expensive. I got a good deal on a used lens, otherwise I probably would have opted for a different camera with a wider native lens.

@d5kenn Hi I just orderer the housing but ive been investigating at the internet about problems and some people complaned about leaks when snorkeling or at pool but i think its for people that dont have enough care when using the case.
