When i was a kid, I thought gas giants were made of water colors. I mean, just look closely at Jupiter, Saturn and other gas giants. Its looks make a beautiful watercolor painting
A series about this would be pointless. There are two possible outcomes if you tried to land on a planet in our solar system. If you were to attempt to land on one of the four inner planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars), nothing remarkable would happen at all. You would land on the surface of the planet. If you were to attempt to land on one of the four outer planets, you wouldn't because they don't even have a surface. They're just balls of gas going around an even bigger ball of gas. You'd be vaporized within the first few minutes of entering the atmosphere.
_As we reach the north pole, we notice a slight problem with our plan to land on surface below_ *There is no surface below* *_Well now that's pretty disappointing.._*
earth had rings when a planet mars sized hit the earth like 4.3 billion years ago, it made material fly away that made rings and then it started forming on the moon
No way will I go down Saturn. Great to look at from a distance though. I did read somewhere that Saturn's density is so small the planet could actually float on water
3:06 btw as you know, saturn is mostly hydrogen, and thus the aurora would glow red/pink, and all the gas giants produce the aurora in same colors, and the green glowy color makes on earth aurora is actually the nitrogen that collides with solar winds and glow green, with little bit of glowy of red/yellow from oxygen
My favorite television series currently airing new episodes is CW's The 100. It's on its finale Season right now, and recently it was revealed 1 of 5 planets that humans colonized was 1 similar to Saturn in that it has a ring surrounding it.
@@xeno1912: in my opinion, Season 3 is the worst, but Season 4 is my 2nd favorite (Season 2 is my favorite), Season 5 is ok, Season 6 is good, and so far Season 7 is really good. When ppl say it could fit 760 earths do they mean the volume of saturn divided by the volume of the earth=~760earths or do they mean it like if saturn was a jar and if there was space in bettween the multiple earths?
Wait. We THINK there's no solid surface. We don't know for sure. With the amount of pressure within Saturn's atmosphere I suppose it doesn't really matter. Besides we ought to explore Enceladus anyway.
@@ohtheblah look at the credit, it's only 1 animator, i agree though, the bar set by kurzgesagt videos is pretty hard to surpass, but anything in that direction is better than powerpoint or other low effort animation.
At 00:58 seems wrong. I believe that it is the entire diameter of the ring (outside edge to outside edge) that is almost as far as the distance from earth to the moon. Something like 170,000 to 180,000 miles, while earth to moon is around 240,000 miles. It occurred to me since you can fit all the planets in the solar system between earth and the moon at it's furthest point, but you clearly can not fit all the planets into the width of the band of the ring. I believe the 12 million km circumference is wrong as well. I am also suspicious that there are other inaccuracies in this that should probably be addressed...
This is the first video you've released in 2 months that does not bang on about the coronavirus, and as a result I'm clicking on your content once again
Though Saturn isn't nearly as tough as Jupiter in re gravity, radiation, etc., still and all. Our ships would have a long descent and the gravity would be pulling us down. Using a parachute might be necessary, but that would mean we had a landing capsule only, one incapable of leaving the giant planet. Add the fact we have no idea as to where, if anywhere, the 'surface' of Saturn actually is.
It's pointless. There won't be anything significant for mankind. People should stop worrying about other planets/galaxies/stars, etc... and first worry about their own. Infact, don't worry at all, just live in peace and happiness, because we'll all die one day, and we'll be gone forever, we won't exist.
