To be fair, Jim does often go a bit overboard and gets personal with some of the people he bashes instead of just bashing their skills or lack thereof. Also, if some popular figure in your field of work personally bashed you when you haven't even said a word about said figure, wouldn't you fight back to the comments or would you simply let the person run their mouth about you in a personal manner? I'm a fan of Jim's managerial work but him and a lot of his fanboy sheep are just as bad if not worse than the people they bash.

Jim becomes more relevant as each year passes. I remember when I thought he was outdated and out-of-touch a few years ago, but the more of the product I watch the more I realise that Jim is right.
He's actually the first wrestling personality to harness the concept of podcast way before podcasts were a thing. And he build it up organically with those epic Russo rants and other stuff. He's the biggest podcaster in all of wrestling no doubt about it.

I know drama and beef in the wrestling industry is always entertaining, but the truth is, as a fan of both, I hate that they’re having this beef. Cornette helped Jericho come to the US on television. Jericho made Cornette some money. I know Cornette has his gimmick of shitting on AEW, and Jericho has been with AEW since the beginning, I just hate to see two wrestling legends who we all know respect each other, come to verbal jabs on Twitter. I know if Cornette dies one day, Jericho will praise him and may even bring up their different view points on wrestling. Same if Jericho dies one day, Cornette will do the same. My point is, it ain’t worth it. It’s entertaining, but it ain’t worth it.

Whether he's acting over the top or not, he backs up and believes everything he says. Toxic? No more than some wrestlers, and many fans are already. They can write him off as the typical 'old man yelling at cloud'. But with each week, he learns to use Twitter better, him and Brian tighten up their podcast better, The thumbnails on RUclips get more spot on in hilarious... He's leveling up and his detractors can pretend he's not relevant all they want, but there's a reason that many of the AEW talent are told specifically to not engage with him on social media.
