The Ranger is growing on me. Wasn't sure on the non-applied indices (I am still not), but I am liking it more and more everytime I see it - It is like the old Explorers/Rangers we love. Simplicity at its best.

Take the bracelet and clasp from the Ranger and put it on the 58 for the perfect Tudor diver. The Ranger would be a winner if they dropped the printed dial and used some nice raised, lume filled numerals.

Love them both. I have the Ranger and it’s the most comfortable watch I own. It just seems to mold to my wrist perfectly, and the bracelet is top notch. Great video, thanks for sharing!

Own, wear, and like both. Note that Steel Reef makes a very, very good easy link for the Black Bay. It goes a long way towards relieving the biggest disadvantage of the BB bracelet.

If I already have a Ranger with the T-Fit bracelet and I buy a BB 58 on the leather strap… can I put the Ranger bracelet on BB 58?

The Ranger every time.
The Ranger is a parts bin Explorer made from a 58 case and movement. It’s been a flop for Tudor because it’s so boring and the funny colour lume. If it had applied markers and white lume it would be awesome.
How is it a “flop”? On what basis is that on?
@@theoriginaljohngalt2450 On the basis it doesn’t sell very well and it’s received a poor reception in general from the watch community. I quite like it but it could have been so much better if they did a few things differently.
@@leeharding8306 I would argue that most people who buy a Tudor don’t think like the watch community. Even those who buy a Rolex don’t think that way. They really just see the name and the glamour of it. The Ranger definitely needs a gilt dial to give a little more class and but I can also see why it wasn’t put on there.

Nice video, can you compare the height of the links for each bracelet, I've heard the bracelet on Ranger is not as substantial or high quality as 58. Some say it has sharp edges too
I measured the height of the first link (from the lug) on each at 10mm and both were 3mm thick. The rest of the links appear similar on each. The edges do have a different feel but I think that has more to do with the design and rivets on the 58.

@brentmillertime8778 right, so is it the same case? There can be differences (lugs, polishing, etc.) Just haven't heard anyone come out and say it's the 58 case
@@benbryson6598 Can't say with certainty. The Ranger bracelet fits the 58 case without issue so lugs and lug holes are likely the same. Bezel vs. non bezel may have some differences.
