I was very depressed and seeing robin gave me great memories of my childhood. He was my hero growing up, I was such a lonely kid from moving so much I thought of him, James dewar and bill Lordan as my friends. Their music was what I lived for. Thank you for posting this, it brought tears of joy to my eyes.
Wow! Brother, I hope you are in a better place man. I say listen to "In City Dreams," the entire album. Not sure if you have but Robin's guitar playing on that album is just so emotional. The way he bends the strings and plays just the right notes to make the song so unique. I remember at age 14 or 15 just staring at the pictures of the band from "Robin Trower LIVE!" James Dewar and Bill Lordan, and of course Robin. His guitar playing, songs, albums really spoke to me as well, I was a lonely kid myself and he's been there through thick and thin. ROCK ON MAN! Let us know how you are doing.
How is Robin Trower not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? It's almost criminal. I always thought Robin Trower was/is just as a good as a guitarist as anyone else out there! Really. Legend!

Robin Trower. One of the most talented, yet underrated, guitarists on the planet. Such a nice guy too. A great player live who has made a ton of music with a 3 piece power trio for decades. Superb talent!

Absolutely one of the great guitar players of all time. The Robin Trower live album is the best album I have ever heard, and 40 some odd years later I have not heard it's equal. For a time it seemed he disappeared into absentia...but the one good thing about the internet is that his music was bought to the for front for another generation to enjoy. I once saw him years later in the 90's , after his success in the 70's and the death of the great James Dewar at a state fair in Arizona. What legend i dont think Robin Trower has any songs i dont like...the best guitar player in the world in my eyes because he has everything that makes a great band...Awesome...
A Lovely human being. I was honored to attend a show in Philadelphia at the Tower theater in 1980 Victims of the fury tour. What I remember vividly was his the awsome geometric design on his shirt and his pedal board!
I was introduced to Robin Trower by my friend back in the late 90s. He had some personal issues and gave up rock music. He gave me his rock record collection that included all of Robin Trower's albums up to 1988. He did have me make him a CD-R comp of all his favorite Trower songs, and through doing that comp, I fell in love with Trower's catalog on Chrysalis, GNP, and Atlantic. I think it's sad that all most people know is "Bridge Of Sighs", but there are treats on all of his albums, even the ones he did in the mid 80s. It's great that he's still making albums, and they still have that high quality.

Great interview with one of the absolute all time great guitarists . Robin Trower should be in every guitar players top 10...absolute gent & a super player. A huge inspiration. God bless him
A super player. And he's in his prime in my opinion. Guitar work on his last few albums has never been better. Inventive and intriguing, to my ears anyway! I bought 'Bridge of Sighs' when it came out, and the follow up, but I then tuned out of his work for a long while I have to admit. But in 2013 I heard 'Roots and Branches' and to me it sounded like he'd turned a corner, guitar-wise and songwriting-wise also.
Robin Trower is so underappreciated and his Bridge of Sighs album was really an ear opener for serious musicians...I've played for decades and I still zombie out when I hear the title track. Ahead of his time and a good, good artist.
I saw Robin Trower several times in Milwaukee in the late 80s. Early 90s pretty cool show's loved the bass guitar actually was the lead for a lot of the gig
What an enjoyable interview. I think the album Robin mentions that he was working on, that was due out soon became “no worlds left to conquer”… I’ve been playing it a lot, I think it ranks up there with some of his early stuff - Highly recommended for any Trower fan!👍☮️❤️🎸
Hello Robin. I saw you 3 time's in concert. The first time was in Eugene Oregon. At the i think it was the Hilton Hotel . Back in 1995 or 96. I can't remember. But it was the 3 of your best members. James' Dewar, an Bill Lordan I l think he was the drummer . I was standing in front of Robin Trower by the left speaker. When Robin played Bridge of Sighs he noticed I was watching; every note he played so he stepped to the edge of the stage an played the whole song to me.
Robin ,you are my hero! I have never missed a show in Cleveland,Ohio and I am always amazed. I want to get good enough to start a band called RT. A tribite to you and they are my letters of my name. Very fitting, the problem is I am not even close to you on guitar. So i hope someday to be good enough to do so. That is my pipe dream. I love you dear friend.

Indeed. He's like a fine wine.. just gets better with age.
I love it when a more experienced dude has good memories of his life, and still knows how to smile about it.
One of my all time favorite guitar player. Saw him in nyc after his third LP came out.
Wonderful talented man, down to earth, natural, no silly syrups and cosmetic surgery.
So awesome you got Robin Trower to do this. I like that he is so comfortable with who he is today.
Pure class.
Saw him when I was like 16 bridge of sighs show NYC.
AMAZING SHOW
Just an incredible interview!! TYSM !!
I already have my tix to see you in Sep, in IN! Don't want to wish my summer away, but I can't wait!
Trower is a FORCE OF NATURE, Massive talent..
Wonderful. Thank You so Much. Robin is and has always been great.
Loved Robin in the '70s.
What an enjoyable interview. I think the album Robin mentions that he was working on, that was due out soon became “no worlds left to conquer”… I’ve been playing it a lot, I think it ranks up there with some of his early stuff - Highly recommended for any Trower fan!👍☮️❤️🎸
Excellent interview with a truly great master of the guitar . Thanks for posting .
Teamed up with Jack Bruce is my favorite.

Great interviewer.. did the homework.. knew Trower's background...appreciated.
Robin has the most expressive bends and vibratos !
Hello Robin. I saw you 3 time's in concert. The first time was in Eugene Oregon. At the i think it was the Hilton Hotel . Back in 1995 or 96. I can't remember. But it was the 3 of your best members. James' Dewar, an
Bill Lordan I l think he was the drummer . I was standing in front of Robin Trower by the left speaker. When Robin played Bridge of Sighs he noticed I was watching; every note he played so he stepped to the edge of the stage an played the whole song to me.
I saw him back in the good old days, around 1977 at Winterland SF with Eddie Money and Wishbone Ash. Great concert!
Just talked to Eddies keyboard
player today. Randy Nichols now sells Ca. bay area real estate.
I think Arty R T
What a great interview! Seen Robin a few times and he never disappoints
