Spoiler for those who don't know the context: in some copies of the game; they changed the ending. why? the ORIGINAL ending was too dark... HOWEVER! it seems like I got my hands on THAT version... the only way you'd know which version you have... is if you play it all the way through (but only copies of the vanilla game; not the collection. the collection had the edited ending by default.) and..... well..... my friend informed me of this. and I remember just then and there "HOOOO BOY..... I got the original ending..." NOT ONLY THAT... There's a plot twist that makes this less sad...; *MY HERO WAS WILFRE. JUST PURE WILFRE. NO EDITS. JUST WILFRE.* AND NOW I IMAGINE THE CREATOR LIKE: "What if who I sent down... was actually... the villain that messed up everything? But... instead of continuing to cause the problems he created, he actually feels sorry and ends up just... turning everything back to normal instead?" BASICALLY, YOUR FUTURE SELF PREVENTING YOUR PAST SELF FROM FULLY COMMITTING YOUR EVIL DEEDS. AND I THOUGHT IT'D BE IRONIC TO SEE WILFRE BE 1 ON 1 WITH HIMSELF... ...now I just think it's... ...symbolic... ...thanks for reading my rambling, btw.

The Next Chapter version sounded like a emotional yet happy ending happening. This version sounds like someone going through a hard time, yet there’s still a flicker of hope that maybe that someone cannot see… like Mike for example.

You project yourself into your stories, into your characters. They're all so real to you. But you know they aren't. You know they're not there. You know they only exist for you. It's about time you saw real life, and looked away from imagination. Edit: Happy endings hurt even more. By giving a happy ending, you say goodbye to all the characters that were involved, but by stealing the happy ending away, you're betraying them. Writer's Dilemma is what I call it.
In one of my stories, I killed off a character that I absolutely adored and i wrecked me for nearly a month. It was crucial to the main character's development and the storyline's progression, so I did what was needed. I never thought I could love a character so much.

Absolutely. Being young and experiencing the proginal ending was one of the big emotional hits of my childhood. It honestly broadened my understanding of how to respond and cope with a tragedy. @Twin Dragons It's a puzzle game now, not an adventure platformer. You don't even draw anything within the levels themselves. The levels are super short, some lasting seconds that range from easy to frustrating. It's full of softlocks making you reset and precise inputs to get through making it frustrating rather than challenging. There is no worlds or physical levels to enter, nor are there any bosses, not even a final boss. The story is rushed and bland with characters that do nothing since you never even leave the two villages you're in. It all makes for a disappointing experience and a mediocre puzzle game.

That's a very heartwarming story though, and although I don't know what it's like to go through that stuff, I'm glad you got out of it.

Yeah but Two Realms not anywhere close to as good as the original games, it’s a lackluster puzzle game instead of a fun platformer, and the character creator doesn’t even have touchscreen controls even though it’s out on PHONES....
They really messed up Drawn to Life’s return. At least the music is good... 😔😔
