Taking down walk decor is always the saddest part of moving out

Yeah normally, but not in this case. The saddest part here is rationalising the fact that your own actions destroyed your friendships and ultimately the house you lived in together.

I agree with you. I’ve always watched Elliot’s videos and noticed he has a weird vibe to him. You can tell from his videos that he is very calculated with his moves. On the opposite spectrum, you have Ashley and Kelly who are very open about their lives and personality. I think Ashley and Kelly make videos because they genuinly love making content whereas making videos for Elliot is more of a job/business. He’s even said that he doesn’t enjoy making videos like he used to which is why he took a break. They also revealed on the podcast that Eliot and Anne Marie would constantly get into fights.
@@dillon707 i couldn’t agree more with you! I’ve always felt the same way about Elliot. His personality on and off camera seem to be very different and his vibe is exactly as you described it. Their group dynamic was off from the start so it was bound to happen. People who are shocked haven’t been paying attention.
@@NoraRez elliot fits in the category of Jake Paul and David Dobrik. They’re business focused and will hurt others to get to the top. Elliot was jealous that Kelly has outgrown him in subscribers and that kelly was producing good relatable content. Meanwhile Elliot was forcing himself to produce content which most were about his daily life. I think Elliot was creatively frustrated which is why he took it out on his roommates. Not surprised that Ashley’s mom said Elliot was jealous of Kelly and Ashley’s growth

I don't know why I'm feeling sad while watching this video as first when I discovered u with all other roommates this house has played a great role in everyone's video especially yours😇 ik its hard to say goodbye to something we never knew we have to. I also had just shifted a month ago but still deep inside I miss my home especially the memories I have with my home. Everyone's glazing over the fact that they're not just roommates, they were all BUSINESS PARTNERS. They’re not the average friends that decided to move in because they wanted to live together. The initial intent of them moving in together is business based-to form a content house and create content together, but featuring their own creative styles. This makes them business partners as well. There’s nothing inherently wrong with dating a roommate, but once kashley started to veer away from the initial house content to heavily monetize on their relationship content, they’ve broken the business agreement they all made for moving into the house together in the first place. This type of relationship and dynamic requires a level of professionalism because they’re not just friends, they’re business partners that agreed to come together on this business venture (the content house).
The collaborative effort at the beginning was evident in the content that they were all putting out. I think at some point, Kashley saw how well their relationship videos were doing, and naturally they started to lean into that more and eventually created a substantial amount of videos surrounding the two of them. I don't believe that this was an abrupt choice that they made one day, but rather something that they allowed to gradually grow and fester to become what it is now. The house content becomes less and less and the relationship content becomes more and more. And how does this happen? it's because Kashley's efforts are now geared more towards working with one another to create relationship content than it is with other members in the house.
Good business mandates that once all parties agree to terms, those terms need to be upheld. When one business partner, in this case two, decides to change those terms, that’s unprofessional and bad business. The issue isn't that roommates started dating, the issue is that that Kashley couldn't separate between personal and business.
They never signed an official contract. Ashley and Kelly already came in with the most followers therefore received the most views. Only their content received 1 million plus views. Kelly has his own filmer and editor. He invests the most money in his videos. He is entitled to only do videos he is passion about. Ashley had tons of brand deals so she is able to the video the way she wants. She was the one doing the themed roommates content like "Switching outfits with my roommates". Elliot and AM's videos were low production and low effort. They could have easily picked up their camera and came up with a creative video themselves, but they did not. It is apparent Ashley and Kelly put the most effort in their videos and boosted followers for Elliot and AM.
@@Jean-wh2hu whether it's verbal or a signed document, the creation of the house was contingent on whether they all wanted to work together. There are videos they've created talking about why this house was created--so that they can all WORK (aka business) together while showing their own creativity as well. This is more of a co-workers under one house and not roommates like the average person. This was also mentioned in the Colin and Samir video.

Sure the idea of everyone is out for themselves and should put themselves first isn't inherently unethical, but it is when people come together and come to an agreement that was contingent on them working together. I think the initial agreement that had them all move in together in the first place was no longer upheld once Kelly and Ashley decided to make content exclusively with one another. That's Business Ethics 101. If you and two other friends came in together on a business venture but later the other two decide they want to take a different direction without you, I'm not sure you would just easily see it as "oh well, every man for himself". These types of agreements aren't just willy nilly, they require all parties to come to an agreement, and to uphold that agreement whatever it may be.
Skipping out early on a year long lease is a clearer and more costly breach
