Dear Jake: I'v always preferred hang-on-the-back filters. They are easy to clean and the intakes don't take up much space in the tank. I usually try to hide the intakes with decorations, but since they are black, they don't look too bad. Personally, putting my lights on a timer is as high-tech as I go. I don't even have an i-phone. Thank you for showcasing these, terrific lights. This set-up is going to be awesome. All my best, Sincerely, E. J. Brinegar
You are very welcome. For this tank, hang-on-the-back filters might not be practical. The light fixtures are where they would go. I believe that a canister filter or a sump would work best. I'm not a fan of sponge filters because they look unnatural and are difficult to hide. I'm looking forward to seeing the filter installation that you select.
@@RaccoonCreekAquatics Hi Jake! I literally have the same set up you do with the AI FW Prime. I added a 4th light though, and I was curious what settings you use for them? I have had a lot of trouple finding which spectrums to use and at what intensity. Nice to find someone in my shoes as well. Mind sharing your settings? I have my lights come on at 5pm, then ramp up to B-70, G-40, R-70, WW 60, CW 45 - Until 8pm, then ramp down to 11pm. 1 Hour of moon light, then off.
Hello. Please, could you guide me with a "base" configuration to start my planted aquarium? I have 2 ai prime hd freshwater lamps and although I know that each aquarium is different, your advice would help me a lot. Congratulations for your video. Thank you
How do you like the mounting arms on a rimmed tank? I'm planning on getting 1 of these for my 40 breeder but had trouble finding any pictures/videos of people who had mounted theirs on a rimmed tank (until seeing yours) so I've been a little hesitant.
I swear I was already subbed but I guess not. I am now though!. Great lighting man. I've wanted an ai for a while but all my tanks have great lighting already lol
I just got a 125 as well and am strongly considering these lights. How is the coverage of 3 on the 125? Are there any spotlighting effects or is it pretty evenly spread? Do you think there will be any shadowing? Are the top corners lit up, and in between the lights towards the top? Kinda hard to tell from the vid. Would love to see this with the tank filled. Subscribed and notifications on, hurry up on the build please 😆
So far they look good, but that's without water. They seem to cover evenly. Nice thing is the brackets will allow me to adjust the position of the lights, if needed. I appreciate you watching!!
Dawg, I love the passion! I'm in awe of your setups. I'd really recommend not scripting though. It's hurting your personality's ability to get through. Looking forward to more vids!
I find it kind of funny you dont mention these lights are $200 A PIECE. And thats not including $30 per light for the mounts that arnt even included in the kit. So $700 JUST for this light setup. More than more people are going to spend on their entire aquarium combined. For this price I would hope they also change my water for me once a week. Hah.

Filtration for this is coming up next. What would you use for filtration if this were your tank? Let me know with a comment!
Id use a canister
I'm considering a canister or a sump
Fluval FX
Those are some super cool lights. I bet those will simulate sunrise and sunset and moon cycles. Being able to control with phone is amazing. Thanks.
Yes sir! I am really excited! 🙂

Thank you, sir! Spent too much money, but I'm excited to do it just this one time. Thank you for stopping by!
They are about $200 a piece not including the brackets.

What Lighting Fixture were you using previously in your video?
Do the leds need WiFi to work?
I'm buying 1 asap
What’s your light schedule please
My photo period is 5.5 hours long. I have the lights on in the afternoon because that is the time of day I primarily view the tank
AI primes are cool but kessil better imo

You need to assess your own aquarium budget to decide whether or not you feel these lights are right for you. I decided to splurge on this tank 🙂
If you do saltwater these pricey light are the norm. I got 2 of these and how did you like it so far?
Watching all your vids!
