If it wasn't for them playing songs from their first album, along with wearing the jumpsuits and gimp masks, you would think this was a Disco Volante era show. The long, dark atmospheric covers (overall atmosphere of the show), the noise bits, and the crowd becoming impatient, is exactly how the more artsy Bungle shows were in '95. And that's interesting since they were at their most energetic and chaotic during the '92 shows. This was about experiencing the music, as oppose to reacting to it.
Same opening song from disco tour
92 is my favorite Bungle live era. Patton has his AD voice but they're still playing mostly first album stuff. What I wouldn't give to attend one of those performances.
For me too 🤘🏼the most beautiful era.Bizarre,freak,dark,violent.
Holy fuck thats the best live version of Travolta I ever heard. Love how the vocals were all distorted during certain parts.
Agree 100% most bad ass recorded version of travolta ive seen

the covers are the best part of the show
I agree completely. Disco is my fav album as well but the Disco tour was much more artsy and less crazy. The debut tour was like a party in a damn mental hospital.
Lavern4101 I fucking agree
Exactly
I have to agree, the debut album shows were the most insane. The 'theme' for those performances were just mind boggling. The masks, the freaky perverted cartoon/circus music, combined with the singer's 'anonymity' made for the most energetic and crazy live shows ever. Especially considering this was back in 1992.
There's a beautiful moment during my ass is on fire where the camera guy is on Mike for the chorus, and he just knows the guitar part is coming up and the cameras on Trey before that high-pitched lead comes in, and as soon as it's done the camera guy's already on the horns 😂. Clearly a fan of the material, cheers. 30 years in and it still slaps
Disco was my fave also, but this is when they were at their peak as far as live performances. they clearly put a lot of thought into these 'early' shows. Later shows are awesome, too, but they never got as deep into the live aspect after this.

Love this tour ❤
Now we know where Slipknot got the idea! I was at this show with my brother. Most amazing live & up close!
Were they in masks
1992 Mike Patton is probably the nuttiest lol
I was there!!! Standing on the speaker on the right side. Mike Patton jumped off the stage at one point onto the speaker (on my sister pretty much) and then jumped over the ledge. It was crazy!
Were they in masks
Did they destroy at the end?
I was lucky to be at this show. Pressed against the stage. It was an amazing show. Brings back vivid memories. Wish I could have seen this tour a few more times. Saw them again in Orlando for the California tour 99. Another amazing show. Wish I could find a bootleg for that one.
At the end of the show did they destroy the equipment?
i have this vhs (my buddy has it) i got it from a classified in maximum rock n roll from merle allin and he put ween in 90 in hoboken just dean and gene, he didn't record i don't think, i haven't seen this since '98 and Time has a stage diver in, which is a prerequisite for a Bungle show, gotta stage dive to Alan Parsons
Really, from Merle Allin? Wow.
Fucking amazing! And great sound quality TY!! So lucky I got experience attending one of their shows during this era, ya know, the infamous one when they opened up for Primus in SF New Year's 92/93...it involved PP psssssss and a Santa boot 🥾🤣
Were they in masks
1:04:58 Danny Devito-Penguin Sashay. And then the girl says "that's not Mike Patton." HA

Did they end up causing destruction?

OMFG THEY WERE IN FLORIDA?? @%$&@!%$@#@
HEY! MrBungleChannel, don’t know how to message you directly so here goes... there was an old bootleg VHS getting around in the mid-90s of MrBungle @the palace in melbourne touring disco volante.. absolutely horrendous quality, as expected from the medium of the time... have you ever come across it? i was there, i had a copy which has since disappeared.. you have some wicked stuff here, just wondering if you’ve ever seen or heard of that one? ✌️
I was rather disappointed with the live shows for Cali, to me they didnt quite live up to the previous tours. I prefer to see Bungle at it's most bizarre (masks, crazy cartoon music etc). The 'beach boys' theme for the Cali tour was good too but not as crazy as the formers.
Lavern4101 they were older mike wasn’t gonna perform with a dildo on like their debut lmao

Gimp Mask-Quote UnQuote=John Travolta, I'm starting to think this had an influence on Quentin Tarantino for Pulp Fiction?
Very underrated band. Unfortunately if Patton wasn’t in FNM,we probably wouldn’t have heard of these guys like we know em
I don't know man. Bungle is a Force of Nature. You can't stop Forces of Nature. Plus, there will always be an audience for authentic expression in art, even if it takes on an ostensibly "unpredictable" form like this.
@@dpclerks09 Definitely would've been harder for them if Mike didn't join FNM, but hell the early 90's was the point where wild experimental acts like Primus and others got into the mainstream so it could've happened regardless.
what a fucking setlist
I know right! So cool 🤘🏼
thanks for posting this
this tour really blows my mind
This looked awesome, wish I had seen this one
